I’ve just had a little girl and we are struggling to find a name for her.
The sort of names we like are [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_u]Romy[/name_u], [name_f]Etta[/name_f].
Which of these names do you prefer/which goes best with [name_f]Cora[/name_f]?
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] is lovely with [name_f]Cora[/name_f]! [name_u]Romy[/name_u] feels a little nickname-y with [name_f]Cora[/name_f], but I think it’s sweet, too.
Maybe [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] called “[name_u]Romy[/name_u]”? [name_f]Cora[/name_f] & [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] both have that classy, vintage vibe.
Others that come to mind: [name_f]Ada[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f]…
[name_u]Romy[/name_u] is my favourite! I love it as a nickname for [name_f]Romina[/name_f], Rosmina, or [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] but it works on its own too.
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]-This is beautiful, but it just seems very popular & sort of a newer name. It’s not a newer name, but it’s a newer name in the U.S. if that’s where you are. I like it, but it’s not classic like [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. Which really isn’t a big deal; I’m just being picky to narrow things down!
[name_u]Romy[/name_u]-I don’t personally care for this one as much. It doesn’t personally have that nice of a sweet feminine sound like [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. It’s okay though. It’s different.
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]-This goes really well w/[name_f]Cora[/name_f]. I personally prefer [name_f]Isla[/name_f], but [name_f]Cora[/name_f] & [name_f]Etta[/name_f] seem perfect.
I like [name_f]Isla[/name_f] with [name_f]Cora[/name_f] I think that makes a really nice sibling set. [name_f]Etta[/name_f] also works with [name_f]Cora[/name_f] but I prefer [name_f]Isla[/name_f] as a name over [name_f]Etta[/name_f]. Whereas [name_u]Romy[/name_u] just has a completely different vibe & feels like a nickname next to [name_f]Cora[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helped
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] (love this!)
[name_u]Romy[/name_u] (cool and uncommon)
[name_f]Isla[/name_f] (pretty, but extremely popular where I live, whereas [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is more unusual)
I absolutely adore [name_f]Etta[/name_f], it is such a beautiful name! Classic yet spunky, and feminine while not being overly frilly. I think it goes beautifully with [name_f]Cora[/name_f] too, they make such a sweet, vintage pairing that still sounds fresh.
Names like the ones you suggested that I pair pair well with [name_f]Cora[/name_f]: [name_f]Dulcy[/name_f], [name_u]Mischa[/name_u], and [name_f]Leida[/name_f]
I feel like maybe [name_f]Isla[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f], which feel stylistically exactly right, aren’t hitting quite perfectly when you say them with [name_f]Cora[/name_f] because they’re “2-syllable ends in ‘a’” names, like [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. I agree that [name_u]Romy[/name_u] feels like a slightly different style. I love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] with [name_f]Cora[/name_f], or [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] or [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. Or if you like another “Ends in A” name, maybe something like [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], or [name_f]Jacinda[/name_f].
I just want to add to my above comment: I like all the names and they don’t have to “go” perfectly with [name_f]Cora[/name_f], although I understand the inclination to have stylistically similar names. They will be separate people and whatever you pick will be perfect. Congratulations! What a time to be welcoming a beautiful miracle.
Hello!
I’m not sure if this has been said but I think [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a gorgeous little girls name and it goes with Big sister [name_f]Cora[/name_f]! They both sound really stunning together. I also think [name_f]Eva[/name_f] could be pearls middle name! [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Eva[/name_f] is so pretty!!
