Sister for Cressida?

We had no issue naming [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] (although, the whole thing with [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Harry[/name_m]'s girlfriend has made laugh). She is two years old and it just fitted from the moment my husband suggested it. The only issue with [name_f]Cressie[/name_f] was middle names as both my mother and his mother wanted her to be middle named after her. So we eventually decided on [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f].

We are now in the dilemma of having a list for our daughter (which is foreign to us). This is the list at it’s shortest:
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaux[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Petra[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
Pier [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] Mathile (found this name recently and loved it as my grandad is called [name_m]Pierre[/name_m])
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]

Pier is a real contender for me along with [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] whereas my husband is really loving [name_f]Bryony[/name_f].

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering what some people think? Suggestions welcomed!

Quick side note:
The following names are off limits/ not useable due to close family (cousins, step siblings, siblings on my husband and my side) calling their children it:
Imogen
Penelope
Lily
Olive
Matilda
Eloise
Henrietta
Lucille
Charlotte
Violet
Isla

Pier is cute, maybe [name_m]Piers[/name_m] would be better? I realize it’s a boy’s name here, but I actually think it could work as a unisex name. Though, neither name sounds very good in a sibset with [name_f]Cressida[/name_f], in my opinion. I do like the [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] combo!

I think [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] is the nicest of the names and works well with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]. [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] sound really great together. I understand wanting to honour your grandfather, but I don’t think Pier is the way to do it.
Names that are similar to [name_m]Pierre[/name_m]:
[name_f]Piera[/name_f]
[name_f]Pietra[/name_f] ([name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Petra[/name_f] to honour [name_m]Pierre[/name_m]?)
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]
[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] would be really cute.
Or could you use Pier as a middle name?
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] Pier [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]? [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] Pier [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]?

I adore [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]! So lovely!

For [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]'s little sister, I like:

[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Petra[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]

[name_m]How[/name_m] about:

[name_f]Verona[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Atalanta[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Philomena[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Olympia[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Zenobia[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] is far and away the best with [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]. (By the way, [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is beautiful.) I think Pier is neat way to honor your grandfather, and I see that [name_f]Petra[/name_f] does that as well, but neither really fit with [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]. Would you use it as a middle name, perhaps? Or, might a [name_m]French[/name_m] name be a nice tribute? Something like [name_f]Angeline[/name_f], [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], or [name_f]Ottoline[/name_f]? I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] with [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] - so many nice nickname options, and if you have anyone to honor born in [name_u]June[/name_u], it means “pearl” ([name_u]June[/name_u]'s birthstone), so that’s fun.

Without even reading your thread, my first thoughts were [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]! I absolutely love [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]. That would definitely be my #1 choice.

I’d also suggest Pier (maybe even [name_m]Pierre[/name_m]?) in the middle? Something like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_m]Pierre[/name_m] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]? [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] Pier [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]?

I think the three options below would be fine for [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]'s sister.

[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - a name full of energy and spunk like [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - see [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] above
[name_f]Petra[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - [name_f]Petra[/name_f] is much better than Pier (dock) for a girl. [name_f]Petra[/name_f] honours a [name_m]Pierre[/name_m].

[name_f]Cressida[/name_f], [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] and [name_f]Petra[/name_f] is beautiful! [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] is a nice combo as well

[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - This combimation is BEAUTIFUL! It is my favourite from your list  I love the nn [name_f]Inga[/name_f] too!
[name_f]Margaux[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - This is my second favourite. I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] but I’m not sure about the double 'M’s in this name.
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - I don’t love [name_f]Bryony[/name_f]. It reminds me of [name_m]Brian[/name_m]/[name_m]Bryan[/name_m] too much I think.
[name_f]Petra[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - I don’t like [name_f]Petra[/name_f] at all. It makes me think of petrified!
Pier [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - This could be sweet due to the association you have with it but to me Pier sounds like a boys name as in [name_m]Pierre[/name_m] or [name_m]Piers[/name_m].
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] - I want to like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] but I just don’t. Maybe its the word “moan” in it?!

[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] and [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] - [name_f]Cressie[/name_f] and [name_f]Inga[/name_f]… Argh, too darn CUTE!!

Good luck

[name_f]Petra[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] is a gorgeous name!

I love the name [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]!
Out of your list my favourite is [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] and [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] sound great for sisters.
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] and [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] would also work well.

Some names I love with [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] are:
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]

When I think of a sister for [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] (which I love), [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] is the winner everytime.

[name_u]Meredith[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] would be one combo that I think is lovely

If you like [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] then for [name_f]Cressida[/name_f]'s sis I would spell it as [name_f]Margo[/name_f] even though I prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f] (my name).

[name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
or

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Inga[/name_f]/[name_u]Inge[/name_u] [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellen[/name_f] [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_f]Melusine[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] [name_f]Mildred[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f] [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]

I really like [name_f]Bryony[/name_f].

I also like [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] the best. Sorry, but Pier seems like a boys’ name to me.

Edited for privacy.

I really adore [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] as middles. I like everything on your list but [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] (sounds/looks like [name_m]Brian[/name_m]) and Pier (I guess it’s technically a word name, and therefore unisex, but it is so close to [name_m]Pierce[/name_m] and [name_m]Pierre[/name_m], so it feels really masculine to me). [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] is just so lovely and strong and feminine, and I feel like [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], and [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] give me the same vibes, while still sounding great with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Petra[/name_f] and [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], but I don’t think they flow as well with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f], if that’s something you are concerned about. All four of those names are on my own list, so I really don’t think you can go wrong either way!

The only one that doesn’t work in my opinion is Pier. It doesn’t sound nearly as a good with [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] as the others do.

All sound good with the middle names.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites: [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f], [name_f]Margaux[/name_f] (prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f] spelling) and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f].
