Hello everyone,
I am so happy to announce that [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_u]Sam[/name_u] are getting a baby sister! I would love to have some help on the naming though :).
We were thinking of those names:
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
I really love the name [name_f]Lily[/name_f], but I think it sounds a bit too soft. [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is in my opinion way too common, just like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] is also not my favorite
Maybe you have some other ideas?
Thanks a lot!
xoxo
Maybe a longer name for [name_f]Lily[/name_f], and just call her that? If you want something a bit tougher. [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], [name_f]Romilly[/name_f].
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] if you don’t mind popularity?
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] as an alternative to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and it can even give you [name_f]Lily[/name_f] if you stretch a bit.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Laila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]/[name_f]Layla[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Bella[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f]?
Hmm…
Daniel and Sam are very dependable choices. They sound incredibly tough and strong. I think you need to continue with this theme.
My thoughts on the name options:
Lily - I think Lily is a very sweet choice. I love the flowery feel of Lily it’s very appealing. But I think Lily is a little too soft for Daniel and Sam. I think Lillian would be better.
Emma - she’s very wholesome and has a lot of humility. I love how Emma looks so soft and appealing. I also love the nickname Emmy. Emma sounds great with Daniel and Sam. Yes she’s popular but in all honesty in my country your other choices are far more popular than Emma. At this precise moment Amelia is in the #1 spot.
Amelia - a lovely choice, she’s sweet and has a great European feel. I also how the nicknames for Amelia such as Mia, Millie, and Lia. But she’s so popular at the moment I would prefer the name Emilia.
Grace - A lovely virtue classic, she’s pretty and has a sweet ‘nickname’ of Gracie which gives Grace a little less formality. I like how Grace, Daniel, and Sam run together.
Suggestions:
Elena ‘Daniel, Sam, and Elena’
Ruth ‘Daniel, Sam, and Ruth’
Anna ‘Daniel, Sam, and Anna’
Zoe ‘Daniel, Sam, and Zoe’
Phoebe ‘Daniel, Sam, and Phoebe’
Violet ‘Daniel, Sam, and Violet’
Jane ‘Daniel, Sam, and Jane’
Opal ‘Daniel, Sam, and Opal’
Leona ‘Daniel, Sam, and Leona’
Ivy ‘Daniel, Sam, and Ivy’
I really love [name_f]Lily[/name_f]! I think it’s really sweet with [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_u]Sam[/name_u]. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you feel about a longer name, with the nn [name_f]Lily[/name_f]? [name_f]Lillian[/name_f], nn [name_f]Lily[/name_f], for example, doesn’t feel as sweet and cute as just [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. Although [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is fine on its own, I think. I like all your options, though–[name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] are very sweet, too. I agree [name_f]Emma[/name_f]'s really popular, but it’s also really beautiful. I think something like [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] or [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is a nice alternative and much less popular (and you can still use the nn [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]). I think something like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Emma[/name_f] would be really cute, too.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_u]Sam[/name_u] sound great. I also really like [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
If popularity concerns you, however, you may want to look at some other choices: [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] or [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Livia[/name_f], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Lina[/name_f]/[name_f]Lena[/name_f], [name_f]Annora[/name_f], [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_u]Sam[/name_u] are solid, steady feeling biblical choices. For that reason, I love the suggestion of [name_f]Anna[/name_f] for you. It has both strength and softness. I also think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] with one of her many nickname choices word work well for you: [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], [name_f]Libby[/name_f], [name_f]Bess[/name_f] to name just a few.
