I really like Nemera with [name]Drake[/name]. [name]Drake[/name] [name]Zephyr[/name] is über cool, I’d love a girl to have an equally cool and stylish name, not a frilly one ([name]Seraphina[/name]). [name]Elowen[/name] is really beautiful though so that would be my second favourite. But Nemera is, without a doubt, my favourite of the four.

([name]Don[/name]'t apologize, your threads are fun!)

[name]Elowen[/name] is my favorite but [name]Seraphina[/name] and Nemera sound especially great with your last name.

Btw, your son’s name is awesome!

ottilie - Thank you! I’m so happy with [name]Drake[/name]'s name, but it’s hard to find a good match. Hopefully the rest will see my threads as fun too, but I feel like a pain in the a** when I keep posting all the time.

cygnus - Thank you! I do think they all sound good with Wilde, but maybe we’re missing something. I do have a concern though… [name]Drake[/name]'s middle name is [name]Zephyr[/name], maybe [name]Seraphina[/name] is too close?

[name]Elowen[/name] is a personal favorite of mine so it got my vote. It seems to have the right balance of magic and femininity to balance out [name]Drake[/name] which I consider magical and very masculine! [name]Seraphina[/name] is lovely too and its meaning matches brilliantly with [name]Drake[/name]. I also like Nemera, but not nearly as much as [name]Elowen[/name] and [name]Seraphina[/name].

I dislike [name]Kenzie[/name] and it doesn’t hold a candle to [name]Drake[/name]. You have [name]Drake[/name] which brings up images of dragons and fire, and then you have [name]Kenzie[/name] which is a nickname for [name]Mackenzie[/name], or “[name]Son[/name] of Coinneach/[name]Kenneth[/name]”. [name]Kenzie[/name] just doesn’t have the same pizazz/substance as [name]Drake[/name].

I chose [name]Seraphina[/name] - I like the connection to [name]Zephyr[/name], and I don’t think it is too close. [name]Seraphina[/name] is just beautiful with your last name.

[name]Kenzie[/name] is too cutesy and frivolous, and [name]Seraphina[/name] is too frilly. I love the double-W in [name]Elowen[/name] Wilde, it sounds amazing. Nemera was a close second; I didn’t vote for it even though I like it because of its unfamiliarity.

Looks like [name]Elowen[/name] is the most popular choice so far. I really love it, and were planning on maybe using it as a middle name. But I agree with you [name]Blade[/name], it sounds amazing with the surname. And as I expected, no votes on poor little [name]Kenzie[/name]. I’m not ready to let it go just yet… I do adore the name, the Z, that it’s sharp, have a hard sound but still sounds very feminine (to me).

And as I said, I was a little worried about the [name]Seraphina[/name] and [name]Zephyr[/name] thing. But now when I thought twice about [name]Seraphina[/name], I started thinking “wasn’t there a dragon in Eragon named this?”. I googled it, and the dragon is [name]Saphira[/name]. But if I do confuse the two, do you think someone else would? Would it be cheesy, giving that older brother is named [name]Drake[/name]?

I don’t think Eragon is that big of a pop culture hit that you would have to worry about the association, and like you said it isn’t even the same name. I also agree with [name]Blade[/name] about [name]Elowen[/name] Wilde sounding absolutely amazing! I am jealous that my surname sucks compared to your’s! lol

Nemera is incredibly well matched with [name]Drake[/name]. I would love for you to use it!!! [name]Elowen[/name] is my runner-up.

I agree, I don’t think Eragon was that marvelous that the names stick out. I just think [name]Seraphina[/name] is too fussy, religious and frilly for you.

If you like the sounds in [name]Kenzie[/name], what about [name]Kizzy[/name], [name]Keziah[/name], [name]Kerensa[/name], or Khoza?

Or, with the W: Khawla (means ‘deer’ in Arabic), Kiwa (Maori name, god of the sea); Ceinwen (Welsh for “beautiful, blessed”), [name]Ceridwen[/name] (ancient Welsh goddess of poetry); [name]Gwyneth[/name]; [name]Edwige[/name]; [name]Rowan[/name]?

Ooh, I really like the suggestion of [name]Kerensa[/name]. I love that name and think it would work well with [name]Drake[/name].

I voted for [name]Elowen[/name] because I don’t think the other names really have the same style to [name]Drake[/name].

Of those 4 [name]Seraphina[/name] is my favorite, but I also like [name]Elowen[/name]

I like [name]Gwyneth[/name], but the dad doesn’t. We have [name]Rowan[/name] on our boys list
