Sister for Ellodie

We are at a complete loss for a name and our second baby girl will arrive in [name]May[/name]. Our first daughter is Ellodie [name]Grace[/name] and we would like to find a name with a similar feel. Unfortunately, most of the names I am attracted to sound too much like Ellodie. We are trying to avoid anything too similar to Ellodie (and my husband doesn”t like names that are longer than 3 syllables) I just [name]LOVE[/name] the name Ellodie so much, I want something that is just as femine, lilting, unique and beautiful for my second daughter. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

names that I like, but we have ruled out:
[name]Dahlia[/name] (still a maybe)

Right now I am liking [name]Cosette[/name], [name]Nicolette[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name]…and I love [name]Darla[/name], but only as a nickname and cannot seem to find an appropriate origin name for it. I also really like [name]Ireland[/name], but it would sound funny with our last name…does any of this feedback help?

Ellodie [name]Grace[/name] is such a pretty name so I think her sister should be given one just as nice. Here are some suggestions. All the best!
Nine / [name]Ninon[/name] / [name]Nina[/name]

I also love the name [name]Elodie[/name]! Whenever I have daydreamed about a daughter named [name]Elodie[/name] I imagined a sister named [name]Sylvie[/name]… or a French name that also has a flower/botanical meaning. Here is a previous post from [name]Nephele[/name] that I really like!

ALSO… from the names you gave that you like the best right now, I would choose [name]Cosette[/name]!

[name]Cosette[/name] is beautiful and goes extremely well with Ellodie. I think [name]Cosette[/name] would be perfect.

I think [name]Cosette[/name] is PERFECT, as well! I loveeeeee it! Definitely reminds me of [name]Les[/name] Mis… in which case I can also recommend: [name]Fantine[/name] and Eponine. =p

I also really like the suggestion of [name]Fleur[/name]!!! Ellodie and [name]Fleur[/name], so lovely… omg!!!

My favorites:
Ellodie and [name]Fleur[/name]****** (or maybe [name]Flora[/name]/[name]Florence[/name])
Ellodie and [name]Cosette[/name]

Some more thoughts:
Ellodie and [name]Fantine[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Faustine[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Portia[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Cassia[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Fawn[/name]

[name]Flower[/name]/plant names (since you seem to like them!):
Ellodie and [name]Calla[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Camellia[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Clover[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Iris[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Saffron[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Bryony[/name]/[name]Briony[/name] (probably too similar sounding?)
Ellodie and [name]Daphne[/name] (same ending sound…)
Ellodie and [name]Juniper[/name]
Ellodie and [name]Lavender[/name]

My vote is for [name]Cosette[/name] or [name]Fleur[/name]. Or maybe…ding ding ding… <Fleur Cosette>… perhaps a bit too french for your taste, but it is beautiful!!! If you settle on a first name or middle name we can help out w/ the rest! =D

Thank you so much for your input! I am still feeling uncertain. I do love cosette, but the more I say it, the less certain I feel that it is this babies name. As much as I love [name]Fleur[/name], I can”t get the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] character out of my head every time I hear it. Thank you again for your help, I am reviewing the other names that were given to me.

I wanted to drop in and thank you all again for your input and help. We finally made a decision as our little girl arrived on [name]May[/name] 20th. We are now the proud parents of big sister Ellodie [name]Grace[/name] and brand new [name]Juliette[/name] [name]Joy[/name].

Thank you again,
