I’m not due until [name_u]August[/name_u] and I’m not sure this is a girl, either…but help me out with a sweet name to go with Esmé! This is actually baby #8 but Esmé is the most recent babe and the one this little one’s name would be paired with most.

dh really likes evangeline, and I’m not against it per see, but my Sis in law is due with an [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] just before us who will go by [name_f]Evie[/name_f] (with the long E sound). I like the meaning of [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] ([name_u]Truth[/name_u] Bearer) but not totally sold on the name [name_f]Vera[/name_f] itself. I also have liked [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] but I don’t like names that are popular, and both of those seem to be growing.
I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] works best with your group. I also like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u].
What about [name_f]Verity[/name_f]? It would work well with your sibset. While I like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], I wouldn’t use it for the reasons in your post, and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is pretty close to [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. Some other names you might like:

Thanks for the ideas. [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is a name we’ve discussed, we have good friends with a 3 yo named that…they wouldn’t mind at all if we used it. I like [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], dh not so much. I really like [name_f]Celia[/name_f], but dh always says it reminds him of celiac disease. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you all find naming a child is a test of your marriage? lol! dh’s favorite girl name is [name_f]Cindy[/name_f]…and his favorite boy name is [name_m]Ricardo[/name_m] (but my dh is not latino, mind you). We can really go in circles with names! At least he has ideas!
I love [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], but like @davisellu, I probably wouldn’t use it too in your case. Sorry. I like the idea of [name_f]Vera[/name_f]!

Ooh, I like [name_f]Fern[/name_f]. I had a great-aunt [name_f]Fern[/name_f] who was just a gem. It doesn’t have a pretty sound to it, to me, though. Ack, and now that I think of it, it really won’t work with our last name. Darn last names!
