We found out we’re expecting our second daughter in February! Our first is Felicity and we love her name, but are having a hard time narrowing down our list for #2. Let us know what your favorite(s) are that you think would complement Felicity well!
Congratulations! I voted [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], and [name_f]Sybil[/name_f]. If I had a 4th and 5th vote they’d go to [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f].
I love that [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] share wonderful joyful meanings. [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Helena[/name_f] also feel like great stylistic fits — clear, classic, sophisticated and not too common or contemporary.
Thanks! I really like the nickname [name_f]Miri[/name_f], but sometimes have a hard time getting away from the old lady connotations of [name_f]Miriam[/name_f]. [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] is my husband’s favorite but I worry it is too Christmasy, especially with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].
Yeah [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] is really solid, I think! [name_f]Sybil[/name_f] and [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] are longtime favorites of mine but now I wonder if they are too weird.
I feel like [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] has the same spunk as [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f] the same elegance and [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f] the same “vibe”.
Yes, I love Mirabel’s meaning! But worry it is too frilly sometimes. Also bugs me how many different ways [name_f]Helena[/name_f] can be pronounced when I only like hel-LAY-nuh.
I am really charmed by the idea of [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] as siblings! I also think [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f], and [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] fit beautifully here
I voted for [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]. [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] is my favorite name for a girl, but it does have a slightly different air to me than [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] if that matters to you. I think they still work well on sisters though. [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is girlier, but neither is overly frilly, and they share a spirited and a Catholic saint feel. (I may be biased; both names are favorites of mine.)
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f] are both very pretty and fit well with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Helena[/name_f] only pronounced Heh-LAY-nuh, and I don’t think it’ll be a big deal. Most people will hear your daughter say her name, not read it, so they won’t have to guess on pronunciation most of the time, and even when they do, I don’t think a five-second correction is worth giving up a great name.
I also love the idea of incorporating [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] because of the corresponding meaning with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! Maybe as a middle though, so that their first names are a little more similar and neither daughter feels like the other got the “better” name.
Sorry this came out so long, lol!
I love [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] and [name_f]Helena[/name_f] with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. These 4 have the same classiness and style as [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], while being great names in themselves.
I love [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], but I’d find it a bit odd to have 2 word names with similar meanings of happiness.
You have a lovely list my top three would be [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f] & [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] as to me they all have the same level of classless and style that [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] has. [name_f]My[/name_f] fourth name to add would be [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] which to me has a similar vibe but I just prefer [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f] & [name_f]Miriam[/name_f].
But honestly you have a fantastic list the only name I wouldn’t use is [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] she’s beautiful but I agree with @Araminty
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] sound so good together, though I prefer the spelling [name_f]Bridgette[/name_f], but I think [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] sound pretty too!
With [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] my favorites are [name_f]Mirabel[/name_f], [name_f]Sybil[/name_f], and [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], but [name_f]Blythe[/name_f], [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], and [name_f]Helena[/name_f] are great options too.
