Not pregnant yet, but we’re thinking ahead for names for a future daughter. Our 6mo old twins are [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] [name_m]Graham[/name_m] and [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Robinson[/name_m], and with the middle names being family names.
We really want to honor a family member, [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m], with the next baby, but none of the variations of those names are appealing to us for a boy or girl at all!
I was thinking of possibly using a girl name that starts with the same letters, Pa____ Al___, but I’m having trouble coming up with much. [name_m]Just[/name_m] using the first initials could work too I guess, but I think the same first 2 letters helps it sound more like an honor name and not just a coincidence.
To honor [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] I would suggest using a P first name and an [name_m]Al[/name_m] middle. There aren’t many Pa names, the choices are limited. [name_m]Just[/name_m] using the P opens up more options like [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], [name_u]Penny[/name_u], and [name_f]Philomena[/name_f]. Some nice [name_m]Al[/name_m] names include [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Althea[/name_f], [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f], and [name_f]Aline[/name_f]. Also using a name with the same or a similar meaning could also work. [name_m]Even[/name_m] reversing the order to [name_m]Al[/name_m] and P/Pa name if you happen to prefer an [name_m]Al[/name_m] name to a P name. All of these are sufficient ways to honor a loved one. Good luck!
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a great suggestion. [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] would be a clear tribute. What style of girl names do you tend to like? I think my favorites with the brother names are [name_f]Paige[/name_f], [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] depending which direction you want to go in.
I know a little girl who’s name is Toyah [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_m]Paul[/name_m], I even quite like Toyah [name_m]Paul[/name_m]. You can absolutely use a more masculine middle name with a beautiful first.
