[name_m]Hi[/name_m] y’all! Getting down to the homestretch of my pregnancy and about to meet baby girl!
We have a 1 year old, [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u] (short for [name_f]Flora[/name_f] Josephine). And we are debating between a couple names!
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (family name: [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] for short)
or
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] (We love Tilly!)
I also love the possibility of [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as the middle! We are Catholic and I love the story of [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband’s middle is actually [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]!
What do y’all think? Any other ideas that flow well with the sibling name are welcome!! [name_u]Or[/name_u] Catholic ideas is awesome too!
p.s. [name_f]My[/name_f] mother mentioned the connection to the clothing brand [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], I’d never heard of it, is this any of your first associations as well? [name_m]Just[/name_m] curious!

I see the appeal of [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as the middle and I think it works. I also like [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] a lot when combined with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] as a sibset. So I’m going to suggest… [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. With the short form [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] that you are intending to use amongst family I specifically think that [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is absolutely beautiful and original
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] gets my vote! Could she be thinking of [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Janes[/name_f]?
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] are both perfect with [name_f]Flora[/name_f]! I would have such a hard time deciding! I have never heard of the clothing brand [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
Anyway, that wasn’t very helpful. I think my vote goes to [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], but just by a hair!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is indeed a brand, but not a well known one, it’s not going to be the first thing that comes to mind when most people hear the name. And I doubt you’re going to call her by her whole name all the time, so not many people will hear it. I think that combo works best, especially with your older daughter’s name.
[name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a gorgeous idea for a middle! I love [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] tons. With [name_f]Flora[/name_f] as big sis, though, I especially love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] …swoon!!! [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u] and [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] are meant to be.
I really like [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]!
I had [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] on my list for my daughter - and have a niece [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] nn [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] so attached to both. (I like [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] but personally prefer [name_f]Tilda[/name_f] - maybe one for later in life?!)
I love [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as a suggestion - a beautiful name and nice connection to her Dad’s name.
Another (more obviously) Catholic name I like is [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. I also think it goes so well with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] - same feel to me. [name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or even lovelier [name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] vote goes to [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] “Hattie”!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is lovely
I like it a lot and have never heard of the clothing brand
I think [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is perfect with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]!
Congratulations on baby #2

Both names are absolutely gorgeous however I am more inclined to go with [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] for you guys. [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] is very classic, strong, elegant and has the great namesake of [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] Tubman. Where I am [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is relatively popular I come across a lot of Matilda’s which is understandable as she is beautiful but I love that [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] feels more unexpected. I love that [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] is a family name for you guys! I really like using family names bringing them forward into future generations it’s just packed with so much sentiment. I also love how strong [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] sounds with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] a really classic pairing.
Regarding middle name’s name I love [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] what a super cool middle name and a great way to tie Dad in!
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is perfect
Good luck
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] “Hattie” is perfect and goes so well with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]!
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Saint[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is a match made in heaven!!
[name_f]Tilly[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u]
