Sister for Fox

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]
I have an 18 month old named [name_m]Fox[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u] and just found out we are expecting a girl next year. Trying to find a girl name we love is hard.
What do you all think of [name_f]Clover[/name_f]? Personally i love it and it tops my list. I’m interested to know what others think

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s not really my style, I think [name_f]Clover[/name_f] sounds great with [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and if you love it you should definitely consider using it. They’re a similar style and have a nature theme without being too similar and they’re both lovely names

It fits with a [name_m]Fox[/name_m], but I’m not a fan personally.

It’s not my favorite nature name, but it definitely goes well with [name_m]Fox[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a bit too cutesy for me—the image in my head is [name_f]Bambi[/name_f] and Thumper romping in the flowers…

[name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f] do seem to fit together HOWEVER, I’d hate if my name was [name_f]Clover[/name_f]. It seems pretty lightweight and flighty to me. Names give off impressions and I have a tough time imagining taking [name_f]Clover[/name_f] seriously, she is going to grow up one day.

Would you consider [name_u]Piper[/name_u] or [name_f]Willow[/name_f]?
[name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] sound just as cute as [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f].
I agree…I see a fox (not [name_f]Bambi[/name_f]) romping in clover.
Also, in print I see C(lover), distracting.

To be honest I think [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is too cutesy with [name_m]Fox[/name_m]. It would be one thing if older brother was say [name_m]Fergus[/name_m] but it’s just too cutesy. Would you like [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] , [name_f]Clary[/name_f] , [name_f]Clara[/name_f] or [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f]?

first off, I absolutely love your son’s name. [name_m]Fox[/name_m] is so cute, and it’s very handsome paired with [name_u]August[/name_u]!

I like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] a lot, I think it’s very sweet. However, I agree that maybe it’s not best paired with [name_m]Fox[/name_m]. I think [name_f]Clover[/name_f] would make a great middle though!

[name_m]Fox[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u] is a great name! I don’t mind [name_f]Clover[/name_f] and it goes well with [name_m]Fox[/name_m].

[name_f]Clover[/name_f] is a name with a happy feel to it which I love. I have considered [name_f]Clover[/name_f] myself(but we had a boy). My biggest concern was does it match our daughter’s name, I’m still not certain about that, but I think [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f] make great siblings.

I think [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is a wonderful sibset. [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is a gorgeous name.

I’m adding to all these honest opinions for you! I love [name_m]Fox[/name_m], reminds me of [name_m]Jett[/name_m] or [name_u]River[/name_u] - a name that works well on a boy even thought it’s not common or classic. I get the fact the [name_f]Clover[/name_f] goes well with [name_m]Fox[/name_m] because of the nature theme, but I really like it as a middle better. I think girls who have strong names fair better in life (imo!) and [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is adorable, but not a strong first name. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that perspective makes sense… I don’t have a list for you but a few names that come to mind along the nature theme are [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u]…

I love [name_f]Clover[/name_f], and I don’t think of it as a particularly weak or childish name. I actually think it’s got a strong sound and shape - like [name_f]Esther[/name_f] or [name_f]Honor[/name_f] or [name_u]Piper[/name_u] - and it feels less cutesy to me than something like [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] or [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] or [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], which I frequently come across on adults where I live. I love the quirkiness of [name_f]Clover[/name_f] and it sounds like a sister for [name_m]Fox[/name_m], if you don’t mind having a clear nature connection between their names.

It’s not my style but I think it flies as a first name. If she decides she wants a name that “blends in” more than some PPs think [name_f]Clover[/name_f] does, she could go by [name_f]Clo[/name_f] or [name_f]Cloey[/name_f] - ok, I’m not sure about the spelling, but think of [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_f]Clotilde[/name_f], etc.

Especially if you follow the pattern of your son’s name and give her a classic/current middle name, it will be a lovely name and a great brother-sister pair.

I agree with [name_f]Katinka[/name_f] that [name_f]Clover[/name_f] sounds a lot stronger than so many cutesy or frilly/flowy girls’ names popular today.

Congratulations!

I love [name_f]Clover[/name_f] with [name_m]Fox[/name_m].
I agree that [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is not as cutesy as other floral names like [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] etc.
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] is more along the lines of [name_f]Fern[/name_f] or [name_f]Heather[/name_f] or [name_f]Willow[/name_f] or [name_u]Brooke[/name_u].
