I’ve been scouring these boards and lists for awhile now and finally decided I need some suggestions with naming our baby girl. We want to keep a secret from family/friends so hard to solicit opinions!
[name]Henry[/name] is a family name and one that we had picked out way before I was even pg. Now with baby girl due in the next month, we are sooo stuck! We’d like something with family connection and were planning on [name]Kathleen[/name] for her middle name (after my godmother who passed away when I was young). We’ve since sort of changed our minds to using [name]Susannah[/name] as her middle name after my mom ([name]Sue[/name]). I’d love to be able to name her after my mom and am really loving [name]Susannah[/name] (although a little to girly for me for a first name).
Here’s our short list for first names (although open to suggestions!)

I love [name]Violet[/name], [name]Claire[/name], and [name]Lila[/name] from your list (though I’ve noticed lately that [name]Lila[/name]'s in t.v. and film tend to be nuts - Damages, [name]Dexter[/name], Carnivale being the examples I’ve noticed).
I’ve always thought [name]Florence[/name] or [name]Nora[/name] go great with [name]Henry[/name] as sibsets.
I like [name]Violet[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name] from your list to go with [name]Henry[/name]. [name]Henry[/name] is such a classic and timeless name to me so I would pick something of the same feel for his sister as well.
I really love [name]Aster[/name] (and [name]Astrid[/name]) from your list! I think they’re so lovely and and unexpected, yet classic and distinguished.
[name]Kyra[/name] - I really like [name]Keira[/name] / [name]Kiera[/name]… I don’t know if this is the prn. you are going for.
[name]Lila[/name] - I like ok
What about a combo of those two - [name]Lyra[/name], which is a constellation as well as the main character in the His Dark Materials books.
One more question - what do you think of first and middle name both ending in “a”? We’ve kind of pushed those to the bottom of the list if we go with [name]Susannah[/name]. What are your favs to go with each middle name?
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] together! I think it’s just perfect. That ultimately gets my vote, but I think [name]Lila[/name] is pretty stinkin’ adorable, too. I would vote for [name]Violet[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] and [name]Lila[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name]–not because of the “A” endings, just because I like [name]Kathleen[/name] more. There’s nothing wrong with [name]Violet[/name] [name]Susannah[/name] or [name]Lila[/name] [name]Susannah[/name]… I just don’t like that [name]Violet[/name] is a flower name, and [name]Susannah[/name] means “lily”. I think [name]Lila[/name] [name]Kate[/name] would be an adorable nn for [name]Lila[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name]!
I always loved “[name]Kate[/name]” also! Have a friend of a friends daughter (see them at b-day parties occasionally) whose name is [name]Nora[/name] [name]Kate[/name] and I just love that. DH has never been a big fan of [name]Nora[/name]… but I love it!
[name]Piper[/name] - Not a fan of this with [name]Susannah[/name] as a middle name… Or with [name]Kathleen[/name], for that matter! I do, however like [name]Kathleen[/name] [name]Piper[/name]…
[name]Astrid[/name] - Not really feeling it, but I think it’s adorable that [name]Henry[/name] picked it out!
[name]Aster[/name] - NMS, but sounds cute with [name]Susannah[/name].
[name]Violet[/name] - [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] make the perfect sibset! I adore this to bits. [name]Violet[/name] [name]Susannah[/name] or even [name]Violet[/name] [name]Kathleen[/name] are both adorable and sound so great with [name]Henry[/name]!
[name]Bryn[/name] - I don’t think this goes well with [name]Henry[/name], or with the two middle names.
[name]Lila[/name] - This is probably my second choice, right next to [name]Violet[/name]. Perfect with [name]Henry[/name], perfect with the middle names, perfect.
[name]Kyra[/name] - NMS, but I think that it’s cute with [name]Henry[/name]
[name]Claire[/name] - [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Claire[/name] are my third choice! So adorable together, and [name]Claire[/name] [name]Susannah[/name] is cute too!
[name]Juliet[/name] - My other fave from your list. [name]Juliet[/name] sounds great with [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] as a middle name.
So, my top picks for you would be: [name]Violet[/name], [name]Lila[/name], [name]Claire[/name] and [name]Juliet[/name].
