Okay, I am in need of name help! My daughter’s name is Ilyria, and we’re having another girl in [name]November[/name]. We want the name to end in an “a” to match Ilyria. However, we obviously like unique names (ergo, Ilyria) we’re pretty picky, and we have the added issue of a 4 letter last name that ends in double L’s. Pretty much bars [name]Bella[/name], [name]Stella[/name], [name]Arabella[/name], ect. Also limits names like [name]Nora[/name], or other short names. I used to be a name junkie, but moving overseas, having a baby and life have depleted my creativity, plus our last name is KILLING me and my husband is being a stinker with all my suggestions. Help!!!

OK, so I know it doesn’t end in an A, but I saw this and just had to suggest [name]Arden[/name]! The first thing I thought of when I saw Ilyria is that it is the name of the city where [name]Shakespeare[/name]'s ‘Twelfth [name]Night[/name]’ is set. I adore [name]Shakespeare[/name] names, and the idea of two [name]Shakespeare[/name] place names is just too much to resist - [name]Arden[/name] is the forest of sanctuary in ‘As You Like It’. Couldn’t resist!
Our theme for boys names is having them end in N and I would totally do [name]Arden[/name] for a boy! Also kudos for knowing the history of Ilyria! I’ve loved it since I was 12 and read Twelfth [name]Night[/name]!
