How about [name_f]Saskia[/name_f], [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] “Romy”, [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] or [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] “Delphi”? I think you need something with spark!
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Molly[/name_f], & [name_u]Zola[/name_u] are brilliant and would fit nicely with an [name_u]Indi[/name_u]
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] “Indi” is such a great name! From your lists, I think [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Roxana[/name_f] “Roxie,” and [name_u]Zola[/name_u] go well with your daughter’s name. [name_f]Amber[/name_f] feels a little too matchy with both being color names, and the rest just don’t quite seem to match the energy of Indigo/Indi. You might like…
[name_f]Amerie[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] “Bea” or “Trixie”
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]
[name_f]Jada[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]
[name_f]Oona[/name_f]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_u]Romilly[/name_u] or [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] “Romy”
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] “Suki” or “Sosie”
[name_f]Tess[/name_f]
[name_f]Vita[/name_f]
[name_f]Winslet[/name_f]
[name_f]Zadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Zora[/name_f]
Several of the names on both your lists seem too traditional to fit well with [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] - [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f], [name_f]Molly[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], and [name_f]Belle[/name_f]. [name_f]Amber[/name_f] seems a little to “color” matchy with [name_u]Indigo[/name_u].
[name_f]Roxana[/name_f] and [name_u]Zola[/name_u] are my favorites with [name_u]Indigo[/name_u].
You have a lovely range of names I think for [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] sibling [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_u]Zola[/name_u] & [name_f]Belle[/name_f] work the best.
From the three the best is [name_u]Zola[/name_u] she’s bright, spirited and has the same colourful flair that [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] has.
You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] and…
[name_u]Lark[/name_u] (maybe Larkspur?)
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Esmeray[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemay[/name_f] ~ combination of two of your favourites
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
Ginerva
[name_u]Nova[/name_u]
[name_f]Olivine[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabli[/name_f]
[name_u]Seren[/name_u]
[name_f]Thisbe[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
[name_f]Saffron[/name_f]
[name_f]Winika[/name_f]
[name_f]Tuesday[/name_f]
[name_f]Alouette[/name_f]
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f]
[name_f]Saskia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_u]Romilly[/name_u]
[name_u]Juno[/name_u]
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u]
[name_u]Fern[/name_u]
[name_f]Ferelith[/name_f]
[name_f]Sunday[/name_f]
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Zola[/name_u], [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] from your list.
[name_u]Zola[/name_u] is quirky, interesting and cool like [name_u]Indigo[/name_u], while [name_f]May[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] have that sweet eternal summer feel.
His list is a bit more fun and cutesy, yours is a little more classic and grounded.
Here are some suggestions that hopefully bridge the two.
So many wonderful ideas, thank you for taking the time to think and reply!
Definitely right about it needing spark and vibrancy to work with Indi… seems hard to find without it being a ‘trying too hard’ name.
We’ve realised that I’m a sucker for a nature or happy meaning, while DH doesn’t mind about meanings at all.
[name_f]Sula[/name_f] is gorgeous, but apparently also irish for eye and this little one is half-Irish. [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] and particularly Maya/Maia are close to being in agreement for us (amazing!) but I think both are very popular at the moment, or at least firmly in the [name_f]Leyla[/name_f], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f] camp, and that makes me think we still might find something more perfect. [name_f]Do[/name_f] people agree on the popularity thing or am I reading too many nameberry threads?!
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] is lovely, but does it sound too much like liar?
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f] we like particularly because [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is a big name in DH’s family, and could potentially use [name_f]Tasmin[/name_f] instead (meaning ‘she who fulfils’, fitting for what will be our last child) and have nn Taz, which I think I like with [name_u]Indi[/name_u], although might be a bit toooo wild?
Finally the closest we are to agreeing is [name_f]Bea[/name_f] - until now I’ve been insisting that we have a ‘proper’ name not just a nickname (eg [name_f]Róisín[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], [name_f]Jessamy[/name_f] nn Jess) but could be swayed on just [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] people think it could stand alone?
Thank you again for sharing your time and thoughts!
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u] (Indi) is darling. You have had a lotto good suggestions. I agree with other others need a name with spunk to match [name_u]Indigo[/name_u].
[name_u]Indi[/name_u] & [name_f]Bea[/name_f] are lovely together. I think [name_f]Bea[/name_f] stands alone fine!
But if you want a fuller name, I don’t think you’re limited to Beatrice/Beatrix. She could also be:
[name_f]Bijou[/name_f]
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]
[name_u]Bellamy[/name_u]
[name_f]Birdie[/name_f]
[name_u]Briar[/name_u]
[name_u]Bliss[/name_u]
[name_u]Blythe[/name_u]
[name_u]Brighton[/name_u]
with the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f]
As for popularity, I think this depends on where you are. But also, the most popular names are so concentrated in the top 5, your daughter may meet other Maya’s or Ayla’s through her life, but I doubt she will ever be one of several in school. Both names are recognizable while still being unique.
