Sister for Jameson Elizabeth...

[name]Hi[/name], I am 5 months pregnant with my second daughter-having issues picking out a name!

[name]Jameson[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] is 2 and we usually call her [name]Jameson[/name], sometimes [name]Jamie[/name]. I [name]LOVE[/name] her name, knew it would be her name before I was even married. =) I like that it has an easy/common nickname.

My husband and I are struggling on a name…I like [name]Delaney[/name] and think it goes perfectly with [name]Jameson[/name] but he is completely not into it. We are all over the map…

I like surname and unisex names, he is much more classic…

It would be nice to incorporate his mom’s name somehow-[name]Vivian[/name]-maybe as a middle name?

Hello! I love [name]Jameson[/name], and I am also going with a unisex name…[name]Chandler[/name] [name]Grace[/name]! We aren’t going to find out the sex of the baby, so this makes it really easy while we talk to him/her in my tummy!!!
Well, if you like unisex names…

[name]Macen[/name] (like [name]Mason[/name])
[name]Payton[/name] ([name]Peyton[/name])
[name]Dylan[/name] (can be your substitute for [name]Delaney[/name]!)
[name]Frances[/name] (can go both way, I have a guy and girl friend with this name, his is spelled [name]Francis[/name]) and [name]Frances[/name] Viviene is really nice
[name]Harley[/name] or [name]Harleigh[/name]
and as a form of [name]William[/name], how about [name]Willa[/name] or [name]Willow[/name]
Then there is [name]Casey[/name] or [name]Caycie[/name]
and [name]Corey[/name] or [name]Cori[/name], which can be short from something else like [name]Coraline[/name], [name]Coralee[/name], [name]Coralynn[/name], or [name]Cordelia[/name]

Of the names you have listed, I really like [name]Ellery[/name] Viviene and [name]Kinsley[/name]!

[name]Hope[/name] this helps some!

Thank you! I really like [name]Kinsley[/name] too…but there isn’t really a nickname. [name]Taylor[/name] is one of my faves…but totally doesn’t work with our last name. I appreciate your input!

BTW…[name]Chandler[/name] [name]Grace[/name]…love it!

[name]Ellery[/name]: Definitely works with [name]Jameson[/name]. [name]Emery[/name] would work, too…

[name]Ava[/name]: Horribly trendy (but pretty) number one baby name in the country. I’d avoid this one like the plague… (Also, it’s too feminine to be paired with [name]Jameson[/name].) ([name]Edit[/name]: [name]Ava[/name] is #5, not #1…) Oops!

[name]Kinsley[/name]: [name]Kinsley[/name] feels and sounds “made up,” and quite trendy…

[name]Cameron[/name]: This one is really overused these days…

[name]Ember[/name]: At first, I thought I was looking at a typo of [name]Amber[/name]. [name]Ember[/name] and [name]Jameson[/name] doesn’t work in my opinion, and the name makes me think of fire.

[name]Charlotte[/name]: The classic, feminine [name]Charlotte[/name] doesn’t work with the masculine [name]Jameson[/name], but I love the name!

[name]Harper[/name]: I think [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Jameson[/name] definitely works…

[name]Hayden[/name]: [name]Hayden[/name] is very trendy, and has the same feel of the mega trendy [name]Aiden[/name], [name]Jayden[/name], [name]Cayden[/name], [name]Brayden[/name].

[name]Ivy[/name]: I love the classic/vintage [name]Ivy[/name], but the style and femininity doesn’t work with [name]Jameson[/name].

[name]Ella[/name]: See [name]Ava[/name].

[name]Kate[/name]: See [name]Charlotte[/name].

[name]Ellie[/name]: I think [name]Ellie[/name] is a cute nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], etc., but I think it’s not substantial enough on its own. (It’s also too feminine for [name]Jameson[/name]'s sister.) What about using it as a nickname for [name]Ellery[/name]?

[name]Avery[/name]: [name]Avery[/name] is very trendy, but it works with [name]Jameson[/name]…

[name]Raina[/name]: The exotic and feminine [name]Raina[/name] doesn’t work the the masculine [name]Jameson[/name].

[name]Macy[/name]: It has [name]Jameson[/name]'s feel, but if I were to see a [name]Macy[/name] and a [name]Jameson[/name], I’d assume [name]Macy[/name] was a girl, and [name]Jameson[/name] a boy.

[name]Madeline[/name]: See [name]Charlotte[/name].

[name]Eleanor[/name]: See [name]Charlotte[/name].

[name]Evelyn[/name]: See [name]Ivy[/name].

I think you really need to stick to fairly masculine, unisex names, lest [name]Jameson[/name] be mistaken for the boy. A classic name, like Vivan or one of your above names, could work in the middle. ([name]Just[/name] avoid already dated trendy names like [name]Taylor[/name] and [name]Madison[/name]…)

[name]Kenley[/name] (an actual surname, although she was a kooky girl on Project Runway)
[name]Romilly[/name] (feminine place name, but for some reason, I think it could work with [name]Jameson[/name], especially if you call her [name]Romy[/name] with [name]Jamie[/name])

Good luck!

[name]Jill[/name], I love you. You put in to words some of my thoughts. I agress with almost everything you said!!

[name]Ava[/name]: Horribly trendy (but pretty) number one baby name in the country. I’d avoid this one like the plague… (Also, it’s too feminine to be paired with [name]Jameson[/name].)

You are awesome!

You’re so, so welcome. I’m glad I could help a bit, but I can’t claim to be a name genius or anything about the [name]Ava[/name] thing. ([name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name]'s new book is called Beyond [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Aiden[/name], for example, and [name]Ava[/name] has been popular for a while.)

If you hang around nameberry for a bit, you’ll pick up on the trends pretty quickly! If you type a name into the “Check Out a Name” box at the left, you’ll be able to read a name’s popularity and see what [name]Pam[/name] and [name]Linda[/name] have to say about it. You’ll also be directed to lists with similar names, which is really cool and helpful.

You’ll find the perfect name for your baby, so don’t worry!

Wait! Oops! I was suffering from a serious case of the stupids. [name]Emma[/name] is #1, not [name]Ava[/name], which is #5, but #5 is still very, very popular.

We are falling in love with “[name]Avery[/name] [name]Nicole[/name].” I think we are getting somewhere!

Thanks Again!

I really like [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] from your list. They also go well with [name]Jameson[/name] (great name, by the way). I also liked another suggestion of Resse… I think it is very strong yet still feminine.

Diving into this one … A LOT of really great names!

[name]Ellery[/name] - celery?
[name]Ava[/name] - I know two [name]Ava[/name]'s that have been born in a mere 4 months. I know there are millions more!
[name]Kinsley[/name] - I have neighbors with the last name so I am bias. I saw somewhere someone said it didn’t have nicknames, but I think [name]Kinsie[/name] could be one.
[name]Cameron[/name] - not feeling this one, [name]Candice[/name] [name]Cameron[/name], Full House.
[name]Ember[/name] - I don’t love this
[name]Charlotte[/name] - I think too girly to go with [name]Jameson[/name].
[name]Harper[/name] - [name]Love[/name], wanted to name my daughter this, husband said no.
[name]Hayden[/name] - I think it is too cute-sie.
[name]Ivy[/name] - I loved this one for my daughter, too girly though. People may think you have a boy/girl with [name]Jameson[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name]. I don’t think you want to stray from uni-sex.
[name]Ella[/name] - too many [name]Ella[/name]'s in this world
[name]Kate[/name] - cute for a middle name like [name]Harlow[/name] [name]Winter[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Ellie[/name] - girly
[name]Avery[/name] - I see that you like this one, what about [name]Avery[/name] [name]Harper[/name] or [name]Harper[/name] [name]Avery[/name]?
[name]Raina[/name] - girly
[name]Macy[/name] - I had a bad experience with a really annoying [name]Macy[/name]. Reminds me of [name]Macy[/name]'s, too.
[name]Madeline[/name] - Very popular, Maddies, Madisons, etc.
[name]Eleanor[/name] - You picked out another name I had loved as well, but read the lyrics for [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Rigby[/name].
[name]Evelyn[/name] - Reminds me of [name]Fried[/name] [name]Green[/name] Tomatoes, so it’s a plus.

I really like [name]Kennedy[/name], [name]Monroe[/name], president names. I knew a little girl name [name]Griffith[/name] once as well, I thought that was just adorable. If I were you I’d look into some (more - since I see you have [name]Delaney[/name]) Irish surnames perhaps, Breslin, [name]Finnegan[/name], [name]Gillian[/name], [name]Madigan[/name], [name]Reilly[/name].

Ohhh… I like [name]Kennedy[/name], drinkchristea!

Since [name]Jameson[/name] is pretty masculine (I do like it though) I would go for something less girly. I love [name]Harper[/name]!

I agree that you should still with a unisex name with [name]Jamison[/name]. [name]Love[/name] the name [name]Jamison[/name] too.

I like [name]Harper[/name] and [name]Avery[/name] too, but they don’t come with a cute nn like [name]Jami[/name].

I really like [name]Cameron[/name] with [name]Jamison[/name] and [name]Cammie[/name] would be a cute nn.

Another suggestion you might like is [name]Elliot[/name]. You could nn her [name]Ella[/name] or [name]Ellie[/name] since you like those names.

Good luck!
