Sister for Jayce and Cannon

HELP!! My husband and I cannot agree on a name this time around, and it’s starting to really stress me out (yes, I realize this is something relatively silly to stress about).

I love the name [name_u]Everly[/name_u], and he’s just not diggin’ it. He is “thinking” about the name [name_f]Layla[/name_f] (he hasn’t turned it down, but he won’t commit to it either).

He has suggested names like [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], and [name_f]Molly[/name_f] - all super cute, but I feel like they are or are becoming overused. He also made up a name (Tylie) that he loves, but I don’t like it at all…

To complicate matters, we are teachers, so it seems like just about every name other people suggest we have a connotation to because of our students (past and present).

We are pretty set on the middle name being [name_f]Jane[/name_f], but I would love to hear any names that you can think of that I might have overlooked in my search.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!!

Signed, a frustrated momma

I love [name_u]Everly[/name_u] as well! [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u] is another favorite of mine. I don’t mind Tylie. It’s cute! Also maybe a nn for [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]?
Maybe one of these along the lines of [name_u]Everly[/name_u]?..
[name_u]Emery[/name_u]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_u]Ellery[/name_u]

I love [name_u]Everly[/name_u]! it’s so close to [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] without being too common.
My husband and I both really loved [name_f]Molly[/name_f] last time around but couldn’t get over the connection as a slang term for a drug. We ended up going with [name_f]Holly[/name_f] and everyone loves it! It’s commonly known without being dated and is far enough down on the top 1000 (in the US, at least - much more popular in English-speaking Europe).
I won’t be offended if it’s not your style either but [name_f]Holly[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] does sound lovely together.
Another random suggestion might be “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]”. It’s similar to the made-up Tylie  but on the rise in popularity, so it’s unlikely either of you have had any students to ruin the name!!
Good luck & congrats

[name_f]Celie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
Elsby [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Nonna[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Desi[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Laurie[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Reyna[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Lissa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]

In our family, [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is short for [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Is [name_f]Mary[/name_f] an option with [name_f]Molly[/name_f] as the nickname?

I honestly don’t hate [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u]!! 5 years ago, it would have totally made it to my finalist list, but we live in a small town, and there are about 5 or 6 Kennedys at the elementary school right now :-?

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Everly[/name_u], too… My great-grandmother’s name was [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is a family name for both my husband and myself, so I feel like it’s SO perfect… not so outlandish that we’ll get weird looks when we introduce her people or get frustrated when people can’t pronounce it, but not so common that she’ll meet a ton of other Everlys throughout her life.

[name_m]Le[/name_m] sigh… if I could just get the husband on board.

EXACTLY the problem we encountered with [name_f]Molly[/name_f]!! Lol… and it doesn’t help that we like [name_f]Jane[/name_f] as the middle name (super close to [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] - you know what I’m talking about :-?).

[name_f]Holly[/name_f] is SUPER cute, but I actually have a friend that I’m still acquainted with named [name_f]Holly[/name_f]… I know it’s kind of weird, but I don’t want her thinking I named my kid after her (even though she is a sweet person).

What a sweet name, [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Grace[/name_f]!

I think [name_f]Mary[/name_f] is a little more “traditional” than what we’re looking for, though.

Thank you so much for the suggestion!!

I know a girl named [name_u]Tylee[/name_u] (emphasis on the second syllable… tie-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]). Also, what about [name_u]Tyler[/name_u]? Super cute on a girl!
