I think [name_f]Elena[/name_f] is lovely with [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and although I really like both [name_f]Elena[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], I would choose [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. I think she would always be called [name_f]Elena[/name_f] where as [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] often gets shortened to [name_f]Viv[/name_f] as an adult (which I find really plain).
I think you take both to the hospital and see whether you have a [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] or [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. What middle names have you settled on?

For middle name, I think we settled on [name_f]Marie[/name_f], to honor a different family member. Despite all of the great suggestions, we never fell in love with any of the “W” names, and none felt quite right as an honor name for [name_m]William[/name_m]. I think you’re right that it will be a game-day decision at the hospital.
It’s a good point about the nicknames. I love [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] but am not wild about [name_f]Viv[/name_f].
