Please help, literally due any minute now and we dont have a name.
We like classic, timeless, maybe a little british persuasion names. We’ve looked at the top british names and we love a lot of them, but it always feels like it goes with ava, but not kate…
some inspirations:
sophie
ellie
audrey
emma
olivia
lucy
lilly
I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] & [name_f]Emma[/name_f] all work beautifully with [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f].
do you think having another A is “unfair” for a complete lack of a better word… will [name_f]Kate[/name_f] feel left out?
btw, i start with a k and my husband starts with an A… SOMEONE is going to feel left out. so this argument really bothers me when people say “poor kate! the only k!!” her cousin starts with a k, all of her aunts, her grandmother…
No worries. To answer your question below I do feel [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is a bit similar to [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] or [name_f]Elise[/name_f] with the NN [name_f]Elle[/name_f]/Ellie or [name_f]Ella[/name_f] could work? Good luck
Honestly I don’t think [name_f]Ava[/name_f] & [name_f]Emma[/name_f] are too similar nor do I think [name_f]Kate[/name_f] would feel left out they are all simple classics. Similarly I don’t think [name_f]Kate[/name_f] would feel left out being the only K if you decided to use [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. I don’t think children think that deeply into things really nor people in general. Use the name you love
My first thought was Matilda to go with Ava and Kate, though it is a bit longer. Other suggestions include:
Kate, Ava & Connie
Kate, Ava & Eliza
Kate, Ava & Maisie
Kate, Ava, & Hazel
Kate, Ava & Lydia
P.S. I don’t think it matters if you have two A’s. If it really bothers you you could do something where Kate shares a middle initial with the new baby.
I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] from your list would work well! Though my favorite suggestions on this thread are definitely [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]! It feels like a classic E name would balance out this set well. I love [name_f]Emma[/name_f] but do think it’s too close to [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. Maybe even [name_f]Emily[/name_f] or [name_f]Ella[/name_f]?
Tess was my first thought, and I see it’s one of the very first suggestions you got! It must be a sign
Kate and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] are gorgeous. I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Nina[/name_f] or [name_u]June[/name_u] would be lovely too. For some reason I’m really drawn to the OO vowel sound to round out the trio!
Sophie and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] fit really well with [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f]!
Some other ideas…
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Macy[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Edie[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillia[/name_f]
