Sister for Mason and Simon

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] guys!

This is my first post so bare with me.
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are due triplets in four months, two boys and a girl. We have names for our boys [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m], but cannot decide on a girls name.
I love the name [name_f]Orla[/name_f] but I don’t think it goes with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m], we’ve also toyed with the idea of [name_f]Heather[/name_f].
Does anyone have any name suggestions to go with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and Simon?? [name_u]Or[/name_u] have any opinions on [name_f]Orla[/name_f] or [name_f]Heather[/name_f].

Thank you!

[name_u]Welcome[/name_u] to Nameberry! I actually think [name_f]Orla[/name_f] works just fine with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m]. [name_f]Heather[/name_f] would be unexpected on a baby, but I like the nature connection.

A few suggestions:
[name_f]Etta[/name_f]
[name_u]Juno[/name_u]
[name_f]Oona[/name_f], [name_f]Una[/name_f]

[name_u]Welcome[/name_u] and congrats!!! Triplets are a lot but sound so fun and I hope I might be blessed with them too!

I think I would choose [name_f]Heather[/name_f] over [name_f]Orla[/name_f] to pair with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] just because it’s way more similar on the familiarity scale.

Other suggestions (I am assuming you do not want to repeat initials so I will avoid M and S names):

[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], & [name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], & [name_u]Allison[/name_u]

[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], & [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] (personal favorite to pair with the boys, I think)
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], & [name_u]Laurel[/name_u]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], & [name_f]Nora[/name_f]

[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], & [name_f]Uma[/name_f]

Hopefully these help!

Huge congratulations :tada:

I think [name_f]Orla[/name_f] & [name_f]Heather[/name_f] are lovely! I do prefer [name_f]Orla[/name_f] I think she’s just so bright, energetic, sweet and has an autumnal flair. I think because [name_f]Orla[/name_f] shares that ‘o’ sound with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] & [name_m]Simon[/name_m] I think she works well.

You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries

[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and…

Both boys names and with an n so maybe looking at names with the same ending may feel more cohesive and appealing to you

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Ellen[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethan[/name_f]
[name_f]Caitlin[/name_f]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Helen[/name_f]
[name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f]

From this list I think [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Bethan[/name_f] & [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] work wonders.

Maybe sharing the o sound would be more appealing to you here are some suggestions

Big congrats! And welcome to NB! :sparkles::sparkles::sparkles:

I like both [name_f]Orla[/name_f] and [name_f]Heather[/name_f].

[name_f]Heather[/name_f] is pretty, soft and reliable and makes the trio a smart and assuring set of names. I get lovely, adventurous but also calm imagery from them together. [name_f]Heather[/name_f] is likely a little also easier for (non-Irish/non-rhotic accented) people to say.

[name_f]Orla[/name_f] is a name I often suggest on here, I find it so charming, pluckish and pleasant to say. I agree with @tori101 that the O sound ties these names together, and to me, they all have a golden yellow and brown warm tones. [name_f]Orla[/name_f] has a fresh feel to it!

I am stumped on which is pick - would depend on which vibe I was going for (reliable outdoorsy or more hip and spunky). [name_f]Hope[/name_f] these descriptions get you closer to deciding. Perhaps also nickname options (Orly/Lola/Lolly v Hattie/Hettie/Thea) - though they’d probably be two names that could avoid nicknames!

Meanwhile (and ignore all together if annoying), if the boys’ aren’t honour names, you could mix them up so you don’t have the repeat two syllable, similar letters, and N ending names for the boys - and to tie in [name_f]Heather[/name_f] or [name_f]Orla[/name_f] a little better (obv though individual names more important than “perfect” set):

[name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_f]Heather[/name_f] & [name_u]Joseph[/name_u]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_f]Heather[/name_f] & [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] & [name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_f]Orla[/name_f] & [name_u]Henry[/name_u]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_f]Orla[/name_f] & [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] (Rafe/Raffa)
[name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] & [name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_f]Heather[/name_f] & [name_u]Edward[/name_u]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u] & [name_f]Heather[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_f]Orla[/name_f] & [name_u]Calloway[/name_u] (Cal)
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] & [name_f]Heather[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] & [name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_m]Harvey[/name_m] & [name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_f]Heather[/name_f] & [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_f]Heather[/name_f] & [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]

Mix and match as you like - you could of course sub in /experiment with some of the girl suggestions from this thread - but just thinking the boys’ makes might be what’s making it tricky!

[name_f]Heather[/name_f] or [name_f]Orla[/name_f] would both be absolutely fine with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m]. I think people expect girls’ names to be a bit more unexpected than boys’ names.

The one thing I did notice is that [name_m]Simon[/name_m] and [name_u]Mason[/name_u] are actually visually quite similar. They share 4 out of 5 letters. If you want to extend that to your daughter, it could create a fun, cohesive set. For example:

[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_f]Samantha[/name_f]
[name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]

They all share 3 or 4 of the boy’s letters, but sound distinctive enough not to be confusing. There are probably more options I haven’t thought of.

Triplets !!! Sooo exciting ! Congratulations!

I think [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_m]Simon[/name_m] are divine ! I also think boys names are way easier.

I personally would avoid [name_f]Orla[/name_f] . While a very pretty name I see some teasing potential that I personally would avoid

[name_f]Heather[/name_f] is sweet and I think due for a comeback! I have an aunt with this name that we call [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] !

I will suggest
[name_f]Alison[/name_f]
[name_u]Shannon[/name_u]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]

Thank you for your suggestions, I think we’re going to avoid [name_f]Alison[/name_f] because my auntie is called [name_f]Alison[/name_f], but thank you anyway x

Thank you!

Thank you so much! [name_f]My[/name_f] husband is a fan of the name [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] and I feel that fits in nicely with some of these names like [name_f]Tamsin[/name_f]

Thank you so much! Our [name_m]Simon[/name_m] is going to be after my husband’s brother, so that’s not changeable but maybe we’ll consider swapping out [name_u]Mason[/name_u] so fit nicer with a girl’s name x

thank you so much! I’m loving the range of names you’ve given me and I’m definitely going to be bringing [name_f]Olive[/name_f] up with the husband later
