All hypothetical at the moment however [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is the only name out of the three I feel certain I would use in the future at the moment (come back to me again in a couple of years time since I can’t make my mind up:rofl:) but I love all three names but feel like I wouldn’t go past 2 girls, [name_f]Clara[/name_f] feels very ballet-core and me whilst [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] works well bilingually (so does [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but sound a bit duller in the other language I’m thinking of) and fits [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] the best imo whilst I also really like it. Which one would work best in your opinion?
Middles For Context (Would’ve been firsts if they worked well bilingually but middles aren’t common however I’ll list them in case I decide to break the cycle):
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] to me feel like a very strong name- maybe because of the meaning, and I also associate it with the book [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and the very strong-willed, stubborn, loyal main character. I would picture a [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] to be confident and opinionated, with a sweet side as well, and a love of books.
Because if this, I feel like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] fits better- because she has the sharper Z that holds up to the consonants in [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] matches her vivacity and spunk, while [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is softer, sweeter, and more graceful.
However, as a name, I much prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f]! I love her ballerina vibe, how she’s classic, timeless, gentle, and dreamy. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] sound like bookish, artsy, imaginative sisters. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] sounds a bit too similar to [name_f]Elissa[/name_f] or Elisa-which I don’t really like as they are too popular.
Personally, I prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f]- but I think that for you, [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] fit better together, so I would pick [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]!
I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] for you here - it’s got that same kick as [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], that strength and elegance, while also being kind of fun too. [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Florence[/name_u] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] feel very cohesive to me
I would go for [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]. It has a stronger feel to it, maybe because of the sharp Z sound, that matches the vibes of [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and the syllable counts being the same makes them feel the same length even though they aren’t visually. I also just like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] a little better.
I think [name_f]Clara[/name_f] fits better. Maybe it’s the two different “i” sounds in [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] & [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] for me…? I don’t know, but [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] & [name_f]Clara[/name_f] feels cleaner to say.
I like both [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] a lot, but I prefer [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] to [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. I think the As clash in the latter.
