Hm you’re right, [name_f]Opal[/name_f] and [name_m]Abel[/name_m] might be too close. [name_f]Fern[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_m]Abel[/name_m] make a great sibset!
I agree that [name_f]Opal[/name_f] might be a bit close to [name_m]Abel[/name_m] AND [name_f]Olive[/name_f], but I couldn’t help but vote for [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] anyhow! She’s beautiful. I’m not as hugely keen on [name_f]Fern[/name_f], personally (probably helped by the [name_f]Fern[/name_f] I knew–she seemed to be a nice lady, but, for some reason, I can’t see [name_f]Fern[/name_f] and think “cute little girl” or really ANYONE except her named [name_f]Fern[/name_f]. Maybe since I only know one it’s more of a one-person name to me? [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] does flow well, though, and [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], and [name_f]Fern[/name_f] do work quite well together.
My personal favorite is [name_f]Opal[/name_f] for sure, but I’m not sure [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], and [name_f]Opal[/name_f] aren’t too similar, unfortunately!
I would keep looking. [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is flawless except that it really sounds too similar to [name_m]Abel[/name_m]. And I’m not liking the overtly natury vibes of [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f]. It seems too gimmicky. [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is a tough sibling to consider. A beautiful name but a tough one.

[name_f]Opal[/name_f] sounds like a cross between [name_m]Abel[/name_m] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f], which could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your point of view. It definitely sounds nice with your kids’ names, though it might be a little confusing to call for [name_m]Abel[/name_m] and have [name_f]Opal[/name_f] come running.
I’d be more concerned with what you’d name future babies. If you aren’t planning on having anymore children, then [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is perfect (if you prefer it over [name_f]Fern[/name_f])! However, if you foresee yourself having more, it might be hard to find another name that fits in. I think [name_f]Fern[/name_f] is more versatile, in this case; you wouldn’t feel obligated to find a name that had a similar mix of sounds.
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] is adorable with [name_f]Olive[/name_f]!
I really love [name_f]Fern[/name_f], particularly with your sibset.

I do agree that [name_f]Opal[/name_f] with [name_m]Abel[/name_m] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is just a bit too much. As pretty as the combo is.
[name_f]Fern[/name_f] and [name_f]Olive[/name_f] do seem to be a little to off-beat greenery/planty for me. I’d probably keep looking.

I think [name_m]Abel[/name_m] and [name_f]Opal[/name_f] as siblings is a huge problem! Best avoided! Can you imagine people getting their names mixed up? [name_m]How[/name_m] embarrassing for the children!
A very hard choice! Considering all the information I voted for [name_f]Fern[/name_f], but really you can’t go wrong here with either.
[name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] is so pretty! But yeah, I do think [name_f]Opal[/name_f] is close to both… hmm. I love [name_f]Fern[/name_f] too, the combo just doesn’t sing quite as much to me. Is [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] set in stone? [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] have been on my list if you’re open. Alternately [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] are on my list.
But back to your choices, as I said I love [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] but think [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] works better with sibs. And it’s very nice too. Good luck!

[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] isn’t set in stone but it’s a family name and I would prefer to use a family name as a middle name, and I totally agree that [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] doesn’t flow as well as [name_f]Opal[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], but I think that it’s one of the better female family name I have left… Actually I could use [name_f]Arlene[/name_f]. [name_f]Fern[/name_f] [name_f]Arlene[/name_f] is cute.
I voted for [name_f]Opal[/name_f] before I saw that your son’s name is [name_m]Abel[/name_m], which I think is too close. In that case, I’d go with [name_f]Fern[/name_f], which I also love.
