I’m due in about a week and can’t decide on a name for this little girl! I want it to go with her sister’s name. Our choices right now are [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]), [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]), and [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Tabby[/name_f], which I’m not a huge fan of).
My main problem is that I like [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] as a full name over [name_f]Lucille[/name_f], but I like the nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] over [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]. I’m also not sure if [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] sounds right with [name_u]Penny[/name_u]. We decided that we didn’t really like any of the other versions of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] for fear they would be mispronounced. Any help is appreciated!!

Well my favorite full name is [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] and favorite nickname is [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]… but you’re right [name_u]Pen[/name_u] & [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] rhyme, so maybe not ideal? [name_u]Penny[/name_u] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] are super cute together. I am not a fan of [name_f]Tabby[/name_f] either. So I will vote [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Good luck!
I’m fine with either spelling, I just didn’t want the nickname to be too similar to [name_u]Penny[/name_u]. I think [name_f]Gwennie[/name_f] and [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] rhyme too much with [name_u]Penny[/name_u]. But I have noticed myself calling her [name_m]Penn[/name_m] occassionaly lately, so I don’t know if we should even use [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]!
