I like [name]Imogen[/name] and [name]Florence[/name] best with [name]Ramona[/name] and [name]Bruce[/name]. [name]Florence[/name] was my first pick, and I didn’t even realize they both had a “ce” ending until I read the above comment. Although, it is a good observation. Great names! Funny, from the title mentioning [name]Ramona[/name] and [name]Bruce[/name] I thought that they were a cool, funky sib set, and yet you didn’t “pick” [name]Bruce[/name] out of a bunch of different names. I would have never known, because [name]Bruce[/name] and [name]Ramona[/name] both have a similar charm. Neat.

Honestly, I don’t think [name]Bruce[/name] and [name]Florence[/name] are too close. As I pronounce them, the sibilant sound at the end of [name]Florence[/name] is very brief, but it’s much more extended in [name]Bruce[/name].

As much as I love [name]Etta[/name] and [name]Ida[/name] though, I’d be careful with your last name…[name]Etta[/name] can lead to ‘Et a cow’. Similarly, [name]Ida[/name] sounds like ‘I’da cower’ (I’d have cowered).

[name]Imogen[/name] is my favorite of the four names but i think [name]Florence[/name] sounds better as a sibset

I picked both [name]Florence[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name]. I see the [name]Florence[/name] and [name]Bruce[/name] ending issue, but as the previous poster said, the sounds are a bit different to me. [name]Imogen[/name] is cool too, similar to [name]Ramona[/name] to me in it’s rather unusualness, not-frilly, slightly spunky femininity. As the previous poster mentioned, I think it’s wise to stay away from [name]Ida[/name] with your surname. It’s the classic cheesy knock-knock joke name, and since starts with cow and sounds kinda like cow-herd (?), too…well, “I da cow” “I da cow herd” are not fun if she turns into a chubby middle schooler. (Same, to a lesser extent for [name]Etta[/name]…could easily turn into “ate a cow” “eat a cow”?)

I love [name]Ramona[/name], [name]Bruce[/name], and [name]Florence[/name] together. So mid-century modern to me. In your existing list, I think [name]Margot[/name] is the best fit with [name]Ramona[/name] & [name]Bruce[/name] in style/era. I also love [name]Mabel[/name], but it feels weird next to [name]Bruce[/name].

And I absolutely [name]LOVE[/name] that you are using [name]Bruce[/name], btw. It is my FIL’s name as well and we are also planning to use it, though probably as a mn. (I’m opposed to confusion with honor naming, so no first names after any immediate relations who are still alive.)

[name]Florence[/name] fits the sibset best of those 4.

Thanks for your help ladies! Hoping for a few more votes

I have been having [name]Ramona[/name] repeat various names after me like “say…[name]Margot[/name], say…[name]Imogen[/name]” and I have to say it makes some of the names cuter than ever to me! [name]Margot[/name], [name]Imogen[/name] and [name]Sylvie[/name] are adorable in her little 2 year old speak!
