[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl #2 coming this summer. [name_f]My[/name_f] two year olds name is [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]. Last name is [name_m]Williams[/name_m]. She is named after my grandmother (fn), [name_u]June[/name_u] was chosen because I like the name.
Trying to decide on fn and middle for baby girl number 2. We don’t plan on having any other children. Our top two contenders for first names are
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] (current first choice)
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] (just pronounced margo as usual)
Both of our mother’s middle names is [name_f]Ann[/name_f] so we thought it would be nice to pass down as a middle. It’s not super exciting but sweet. Not sure it goes with either of these names. I also love
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], but not sure it goes with our last name. Thoughts? [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] vs [name_f]Margot[/name_f]? does [name_f]Ann[/name_f] flow with these?
I prefer lovely, elegant [name_f]Margot[/name_f] Not a big fan of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], it’s nice but not as elegant as [name_f]Margot[/name_f] imo. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] sounds well, I don’t love that both [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Ann[/name_f] are 1 syllable.
Margot all the way! [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] doesn’t sound quite right to me. And I love the name [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]!!!
Congratulations! I agree that [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] flows much better than [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I do really like [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] though. So if you prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] I would hold on to that.
I love both, but I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] a little more with [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is darling, although [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is nice as well. You could spice [name_f]Ann[/name_f] up a bit if you’re worried its a little too plain.
Margot [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is so sweet. I do think it flows better than [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], tbh. And I love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] & [name_f]Margot[/name_f] as sister names!
Super sweet, elegant and flows well with your last name. [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] & [name_f]Margot[/name_f] sounds like a lovely pair of sisters.
Good luck with the pregnancy!
Margot [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is adorable! I think it sounds nice with your last name. And as sisters, [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] sound great together.
I just want to say that I absolutely love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u] such a pretty name
Completely understand why your struggling to choose between [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. Personally I prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] it’s just such a gorgeous Irish classic with great mythological history. I like how delicate [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] & [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] sound together. But [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] does have a better flow than [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I definitely think it would be nice to use [name_f]Ann[/name_f] as a middle name to honour both Grandmother’s. I think [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] could work to improve the flow with [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] has a better flow due to [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] being longer in sound but would still honour [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I have to say that I absolutely love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] the name feels so strong and effortless. I have always loved [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]. Could you have two middle names? [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] would be gorgeous! Anyways even though I think the flow of [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] isn’t the best it’s not terrible the name its just a little disjointed so if the middle name must be just [name_f]Ann[/name_f] and you wouldn’t consider two middle names then I would still use [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] anyways as I just love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] with [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].
I honestly think you can’t go wrong with either. They are both amazing names that sound great with [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. I agree with others that [name_f]Ann[/name_f] works better with [name_f]Margot[/name_f], and I love the longer [name_f]Ann[/name_f] name suggestions to balance out [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is another great idea!
Rosalie is such a gorgeous name and you cannot go wrong with either [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] or [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
I feel as if [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is more timeless and sophisticated and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] is trendy and Fresh.
With [name_f]Ann[/name_f](e) as a middle name I feel as if [name_f]Margot[/name_f] flows the best.
I adore both [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] but I think my preference in this case is [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
Maeve is lovely but I prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. It’s such an elegant name and goes so well with [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] works well; [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is fine but not not quite as good as both names are only one syllable. [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] flows well, though.
