I love [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] & [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] & [name_f]Bea[/name_f]!
The ones that I don’t like on your list are
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
They are great names, don’t get me wrong, I just can’t see them with a [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]
I love the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] work well together!
Why is [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] getting all the hate? That’s what I voted for! Haha. Well, I went off the vibe that I thought you were going for. It seemed to me that you wanted short names that are stand alone. I love all of the above, but [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] I felt was the best match for that. I wouldn’t go with [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] or [name_f]Louise[/name_f], unless [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] isn’t her full name, but I always felt like it was unfair to name and then give that one a nickname and the other gets to stuck with [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. Nothing against [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. If you didn’t like [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] or are leaning away from [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] now, I would go with [name_f]Alice[/name_f] or [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] lovely names that still fit that vintage charm. Anyways, good luck and happy naming!
Thanks for all your replies! I’m not surprised [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is getting so many votes! I love it, but my concern is popularity. We picked [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] for [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]'s full name because we wanted something familiar and accessible but not super common. I like [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] because it’s spunky and fun, but if there is other Rosies in her class she can go by [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f].
We want a name that everyone has heard of but we don’t want her to be [name_f]Alice[/name_f] N. I’m worried about popularity with [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Lena[/name_f], but I’m not sure it goes with [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and we have a very Scandinavian last name and I’m worried it’s too Scandinavian sounding together. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] are DHs picks. I like [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] or [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Bea[/name_f] but not entirely sold. I like [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] better than [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and DHS said that could be ok.
Thanks for the suggestions! I love the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], too but it’s my mother in laws dogs name, so we can’t use it. Oh her names we’ve considered but can’t use or decided against are [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], [name_f]Johanna[/name_f], [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Frances[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Thora[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]. Thanks!
