Sister for Rowan and Brooks

I found out I am having a girl after 2 boys and we are so excited! I’m really struggling with a name though. I have so many that I like and have added to ‘my list’ over the years, but now that it’s time to actually use one i am second guessing everything. We like nature, outdoors-inspired first names and family middle names. Our oldest is Rowan Daniel and second is Brooks Timothy. We love both of their names, and want something just as strong for our little girl. Here are our top name choices right now with some family middle names.

Juniper Jane (nn Juni)
Aurora Jane (nn Rory) - it’s hard to say with our last name though
Wren Katherine
Hazel Elizabeth

I also like Willow, Violet, Iris, Primrose, Dahlia, Marigold and Daphne, but husband isnt a huge fan. Husband likes Heather, but I’m worried it was used too much when we were kids (I knew like 4 heathers). Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is perfect. I love [name_u]Wren[/name_u] but it is a little close to [name_u]Rowan[/name_u]. [name_f]Heather[/name_f] feels a little dated to me too.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! It’s a beautiful, earthy, balanced name and pairs wonderfully with Rown and [name_u]Brooks[/name_u]! Congratulations :tada:

I would go for [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]! For me, [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is very pretty but possibly slightly too cutesy, [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] works well with the others but not if it’s a tongue twister, [name_u]Wren[/name_u] feels like you’re saying [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] said really fast (and I don’t think it’s quite pretty enough to offset the boys’ names), [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] is lovely - in its own right and with [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] & [name_u]Brooks[/name_u]. I also like [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], or [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] - rather than the repeat “El” (end of [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] and start of Elizabeth). I would go [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] - or else [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] or maybe even just [name_f]Junie[/name_f].

Meanwhile, I really like [name_f]Heather[/name_f] and while it is associated with the 1980s/90s, I don’t see it as stuck there given nature names are in fashion. It’s such a lovely name to say. [name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] would be so pretty!

Other possibilities:

[name_f]Summer[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Camellia[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f]
[name_u]Holly[/name_u]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] (though not great nn’s?)
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f]
[name_u]Cadence[/name_u]
[name_f]Honey[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_u]Ivy[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_u]Ashby[/name_u]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]

I can see why you are having a hard time choosing. I love your style. I really like [name_u]Hazel[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] . I don’t think you can go wrong either way, both are lovely. I would not choose [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] or [name_u]Wren[/name_u] because of the heavy “r” in both names, I feel it takes a way from [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] but that’s just my perspective. I really like @EloiseT’s suggestions of [name_u]Ivy[/name_u], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]!
I feel like you may also like [name_f]Maya[/name_f], [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_u]Skye[/name_u], or [name_f]Twyla[/name_f], or Tallululah? I’m sorry, I know these all rhyme when written together, and I’m sorry for any repeats!

Congratulations again! I hope this helps!
