Another girl is on the way! I thought we would just go back to our original list but my husband and I aren’t falling in love with any. Ideally my parameters are: outside the top 1000, easy to pronounce, and easy to spell - like [name_f]Roxanna[/name_f]. I like a longer 2 or 3 syllable name with a short nickname.
Another issue we’re having is we kept associating [name_f]Roxy[/name_f] with [name_f]Foxy[/name_f] and now we have tons of fox themed things. I’d love to have another animal connection for this daughter, but it seems impossible.

I see [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] mentioned, but might I recommend [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]? You still get the lovely [name_f]Bea[/name_f] nickname that associates with Bees per your request. It, unlike [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], is outside of the top 1000 (it appeared briefly on the list in 2019 but otherwise absent). It is pretty straight forward to spell and I don’t know what benchmark you’re using for easy to pronounce, but I doubt people would mispronounce it. Whether a small child could easily pronounce it…I don’t know? And finally, [name_f]Roxanna[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] sound lovely together imo. They share the x which is sweet so they have similar feels to them but are such distinctly different names.
Yes, I love the name Beatrix… it’s actually our 13 year old cat’s name! We call her [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or Beast I wanted to name the cat [name_f]Petunia[/name_f] and now I wish we would have!
Aww that’s too bad. I have something somewhat similar over here in that I love the name [name_f]Clara[/name_f] but my brother decided to name his dog that and now, even if we have another girl after that dog passes, all of her cousins would associate her with the dog which would not be grand.
Two of my favorites with animal associations are [name_f]Selkie[/name_f] (seal) and [name_u]Sable[/name_u] (associated with both a deer-type creature and some kind of small very cute mammal). Also [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] (dove), and less direct, but similar to Roxy/foxy I like [name_u]June[/name_u] with nickname Junebug. [name_u]June[/name_u] is probably top 1000, though.
What about the middle name being animal themed? Wren, Dawn (Fawn), Paloma (or Dove itself)

With Daphne you could do a floral theme.
Can’t think of a theme connection for Felicity, but it comes with the nickname Flick which is cute.
With Claudie you could do a cloud/weather/sky theme!
With Harriet, there’s Hattie, which is another cute nickname. This may sound a bit out there, but you could do a hat theme! I personally think that would be really cute. Plus with books like Cat in the Hat, Caps for Sale… maybe it’s just me.
Beverly! It seems to go with your style, and has a beaver connection! Nicknames could be Evie, Ellie, or Belle.
You could maybe do Birdie as a nickname for Bridget or Beatrice.
A name I’ve liked in the past is Liona/Leona. It’s a pretty cool name and gives you lion right in there.
There are a lot of names beginning with Cat and Kat if you like those.
Any of the names beginning with Ela- or Eli- you can use an elephant connection.
Anyways, you have a great list and remember the animal connection can come after you pick the name. First pick the name that’s your favorite!
