I am expecting a baby girl in [name]March[/name], and have no clue for her name! Names my wife and I like:
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] (honoring my mother whose middle name is [name]Dawn[/name], and [name]Aurora[/name] means [name]Dawn[/name])
I would love suggestions!
I like [name]Florence[/name] [name]Adele[/name], but my wife does not because it sounds to old lady-ish. She likes [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] but I don’t think it sounds good with [name]Russell[/name].
Any reason you won’t be using the names you and your wife like? They are lovely! I vote for [name]Stella[/name], though I’m not a fan of [name]Ivy[/name] in the middle. [name]Stella[/name] [name]June[/name]? [name]Stella[/name] [name]March[/name]? Others you may like:
I’m also expecting a girly in [name]March[/name], eee!
Gorgeous names, all of them. I adore [name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Lucia[/name], and I think it sounds absolutely fine with [name]Russell[/name]. They’re both old, stately names with a lot of spunk and aren’t heard too, too often. I think [name]Florence[/name] has less pizzazz than [name]Russell[/name] and doesn’t match as well, even though it’s a lovely name in its own right.
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]June[/name] - Sweet and spunky and perfect! [name]Stella[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] - Probably my least favourite of your proposed combos, just from a flow perspective. Not feeling [name]Ivy[/name] in that middle spot. [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] - This doesn’t seem as stunning as your other combos because both [name]Caroline[/name] and [name]Amelia[/name] are both very popular. [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] - Gorgeous, and a clever way of honouring family.
Here are some other suggestions for you based on the names you two like:
For another way of honouring family, have you considered the name [name]Roxanne[/name] or its variants? I believe its origin is Persian and means dawn.
I like the sound of [name]Penelope[/name] [name]June[/name], but I wonder about having a baby in [name]March[/name] and naming her [name]June[/name]… I like Alzora’s idea of [name]March[/name] as a middle. Reminds me of [name]Louisa[/name] [name]May[/name] [name]Alcott[/name]'s “[name]Little[/name] Women.” [name]Penelope[/name] [name]March[/name] might work.
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] is a bit of a mouthful imo, though [name]Vivienne[/name] is pretty. Other names that mean dawn: [name]Alba[/name], [name]Roxane[/name].
I think [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Dawn[/name] is lovely, despite the repeated N-endings.
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Alba[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Roxane[/name] (I like that the meaning becomes “morning star”)
I personally think [name]Beatrix[/name] (or [name]Beatrice[/name] for that matter) is a wonderful old name. Possible compromise might be
[name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Aurora[/name].
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Alba[/name] would be silky and elegant.
[name]Caroline[/name] is so crisp and formal in a way, I think it wants a similarly classic middle. [name]Jane[/name]! Or [name]March[/name] could be great with [name]Caroline[/name].
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]June[/name] - I think this is gorgeous. [name]Both[/name] names are lovely, and they go so well together.
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] - I like both names separately, but together, it’s a bit awkward. It doesn’t have very good flow.
[name]Caroline[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] - I love both names, and they don’t sound bad together, but it is a bit long.
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] (honoring my mother whose middle name is [name]Dawn[/name], and [name]Aurora[/name] means [name]Dawn[/name]) - Again, I love both names, but I’m not such of a fan of how they sound together. I think it’s a bit too long.
Suggestions with those names above:
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Vivien[/name]
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Florence[/name] [name]Adele[/name] - I think this is lovely. [name]Flora[/name] is such a cute nickname. Does “[name]Flora[/name]” still sound old ladyish to your wife?
[name]Beatrix[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] - I think this is awesome, and I do think it sounds good with [name]Russell[/name], actually. This has a very strong and luscious sound.
Other suggestions:
[name]Stella[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] [name]March[/name] - I’ve thought of this combination before and always loved it.
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Florence[/name]
[name]Opal[/name] [name]Aurora[/name]
