[name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl is due end of [name_f]April[/name_f] and having trouble settling on a name. My son is [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], but mostly goes by [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] or [name_u]Theo[/name_u].
We prefer names that are less common. We are currently leaning towards [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] (or [name_f]Emme[/name_f]) with [name_u]Winter[/name_u] as a middle name.
Other first names we like are [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u], [name_f]Mila[/name_f] but I don’t know if they really go with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].
Would prefer to use a name that isn’t already in the family so that excludes [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Bronte[/name_f].
Any thoughts on our choices so far or any other name ideas?
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] feels a bit off, stylistically–how about [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] with [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] as a nickname?
Names that ‘go with’ [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] to me: [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Esther[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

Agree that [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] with [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] as a nn fits better with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. Others you can get [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] from are [name_f]Emanuelle[/name_f], [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]/[name_f]Emeraldina[/name_f], [name_f]Emmalou[/name_f], [name_f]Esmaralda[/name_f]
Other suggestions:
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_u]Arden[/name_u]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]/[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] ([name_f]Gwen[/name_f] as the nn)
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Aveline[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
Assuming you still want the middle name [name_u]Winter[/name_u], I especially like [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u], and [name_f]Aveline[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u].
[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is very sweet but I also feel in this case it needs to be from a longer name: [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] with [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]/[name_u]Theo[/name_u], but same with this: a longer form would sit nicely next to [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]/[name_u]Teddy[/name_u]. [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f], [name_f]Gwenyth[/name_f]. I’m not so keen on your others.
I second the suggestions of [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Edwina[/name_f]
[name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
To match with [name_u]Theo[/name_u]
Geneviève nn [name_f]Gen[/name_f]
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] nn [name_u]Penny[/name_u]
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] nn [name_f]Vicky[/name_f]
I think longer names would match better with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. So I think [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] would be cute!
I agree with the PPs that [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] goes better with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would be stunning! [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is lovely too. If you used either of those you could get to [name_f]Mila[/name_f] as a secondary nickname too.
[name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] would be a good match with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] too. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] are too unisex and modern in comparison I think.
I agree with @bonfireazalea’s comments and like [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] which gets you to the nicknames [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Emme[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]. If you want a name that goes well with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] I would eliminate the unisex names on your list. [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] would work well too.
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would be fabulous! I also really like [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] for you.
I have to offer my [name_m]Favorite[/name_m]… [name_f]Francine[/name_f] with nn [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] or [name_f]Francie[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u], [name_u]Love[/name_u], [name_u]Love[/name_u] it and it is not too common.
Best wishes to your and your new little one!
I have to agree with previous posters that [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]/[name_f]Emme[/name_f] seems a bit incomplete next to [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and may be better as a nickname for something longer like [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] would be beautiful. Sounds like you already have an [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] in the family, so [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is probably a no go, otherwise that would be a beautiful option as well.
My other suggestions would be:
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] ([name_f]Evie[/name_f])
I agree with the consensus that [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] goes better! You could also spell it [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] if you wanted, which allows for [name_f]Emme[/name_f] as well. [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] / [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is my favorite combination.
I think [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] works, you could get [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] from that. [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is also a nice option.
