Sister for Vivienne: Theodora, Beatrice, Juliet, Margot

Hello! We are undecided on what to name [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]'s sister! We love [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] (nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f]), [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] ([name_f]Bea[/name_f]), [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. We also do like [name_f]Colette[/name_f] and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] ([name_f]Pippa[/name_f]). Any thoughts? Thanks!!

Hello! [name_m]Just[/name_m] a quick question: Are you looking for additional suggestions, or to decide between the (all wonderful) names on your list? [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is so beautiful.

Top Three:

  1. [name_f]Colette[/name_f]: I adore this with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. Both have [name_m]French[/name_m] flair, feel modern but evergreen, and are elegant and powerful. [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is one of my favorite names on its own, as well: Strong, rich, and literary.
  2. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]: While I prefer the [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] spelling, this name is fantastic. It’s very much a classic, comes with great nickname options, and is elegant yet badass. It’s perfect with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].
  3. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]: To me, this doesn’t have quite the ethereal elegance of [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], but it has its own qualities that mesh really well with it. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] comes with the great nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f], has bold sounds, and is unexpected.

[name_f]Margot[/name_f] is a beautiful, spunky name, but I think I prefer the more formal [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. While [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is growing on me, I think it has a bit too quirky/vintage a vibe with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] is one I just can’t get on board with.

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] gives me a similar feel to [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] (both vintage but fun and spunky) so that’d be my top choice! I also love the way [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] look together (the many repeating letters), so [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] is my next favorite.

The other names are all familiar, but seem less common/less actually used (maybe just in my area) than [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], so they don’t feel like a great match to me.

I 100% agree with everything @danakatherine said, and second her opinions!

[name_f]Colette[/name_f] is my favorite. It would make a smashing sister name for [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. I am having a hard time deciding on next favorites because [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is my strong favorite. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] coordinates well, but almost too well if that makes any sense. I think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] would be my second choice.

I like [name_f]Colette[/name_f] the best on your list. I’ll throw [name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] (Phee) into the ring.

My fave with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] is [name_f]Colette[/name_f]. My second pick is [name_f]Theodora[/name_f].

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] are GORGEOUS together. Though, I too would go with [name_f]Juliette[/name_f]: 1) you have the [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] instead of [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], 2) to me, [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] always looked like [name_u]Julie[/name_u] with a -t on the end.

I also like
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Colette[/name_f]

[name_m]Just[/name_m] okay:
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] (though [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] & [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] sound so cute together!)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], but it seems like a mouthful with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]

I do not like:
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], which is an unattractive old-lady name, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] & [name_f]Margot[/name_f], which sounds too harsh alongside the lilting [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]

My daughters are [name_f]Colette[/name_f] (5) and [name_f]Camille[/name_f] (2) and I’m pregnant with my third and the top contenders if the baby is a girl are [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f], so I vote [name_f]Colette[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Colette[/name_f] would go lovely but [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is also very sweet and compliments many names.

I love these names!! [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is awesome, elegant yet strong and sophisticated. [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] are great nicknames! I’m not a fan of [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] but I like [name_f]Bea[/name_f] on its own. [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] is a new favorite yet every spelling of it looks off to me, no matter the number of Ls or Ps. [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] is great. So cute and classy! I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f] but I prefer the [name_f]Margo[/name_f] spelling, just [name_f]IMO[/name_f] it looks cleaner. I can’t say I’m a fan of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] or [name_f]Colette[/name_f]. To me they’re trendy, but it might be different where you live.

I love all of them, and with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] my favourtes are [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f]

All are beautiful, I think [name_f]Colette[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]/[name_f]Juliette[/name_f] are my favorites with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f]) with [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].

I’d go for [name_f]Colette[/name_f] (or [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]) or [name_f]Philippa[/name_f]. I might even go for [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] just so they all have repeat letters like [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. I think these names push [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] into the sophisticated, classic side of the vintage-hip camp where [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] reside. I really like [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], I just think I’d pair [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] differently.
