Sister Freya for Finn?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!
What do you think of the name [name_f]Freya[/name_f] for a girl, brothers name is [name_u]Finn[/name_u], is it a bit matchy? I was excited because its a beautiful name! A goddess  but im afraid it sounds silly next to [name_u]Finn[/name_u]? Orā€¦ am I just over thinking it??

[name_f]Freya[/name_f] is a gorgeous name. I love it together with [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. They may be a little similar, but i think they sound great together.

I think they are make a lovely sibset together. The only similarity is the F sound at the beginning. If thatā€™s really bothering you maybe you can consider:

[name_m]Griffin[/name_m] (Welsh, means ā€œstrong lordā€)
[name_m]Finbar[/name_m] (Irish, means ā€œfairā€)
[name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] (Irish, again means ā€œfairā€)
[name_m]Thorfin[/name_m] (Irish, means ā€œchiefā€. It has a matching theme with [name_f]Freya[/name_f])

Frigg (Norse, version of [name_f]Freya[/name_f] (correct me if Iā€™m wrong !)

I think [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] and [name_f]Freya[/name_f] are really cute together.

I love the name [name_f]Freya[/name_f]. I meet siblings that share the first letter in their names all the time so I donā€™t think this is silly at all. While I personally would stray from doing this, itā€™s a common practice. They are matchy but in a complimentary way. Not, say, as in [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u], or [name_f]Freya[/name_f] and [name_m]Fred[/name_m], or [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u], where your children are sounding like victims of ridiculous-twin-naming syndrome.
