My daughter’s name is Adeline (Ad-a-line) and I’m currently pregnant with another girl. We like Evelyn (Ev-el-lyn), and plan to have her nickname as Evie.
I’d appreciate opinions on whether Adeline and Evelyn are too similar. Thank you!

I do not believe that they are too similar because one is line and the other is lyn. That they are different enough but go together well.
It might be to close if your daughters goes by [name_f]Addie[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] but that is the only thing that I can think of, and you would just have to change the nickname of one.

I think since the endings are different, it’s fine!!!
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] aren’t too close, in fact they are lovely together but I think [name_f]Addie[/name_f] and [name_f]Evie[/name_f] are too rhyme-y so it depends on whether they would both go by those nicknames.
They’re close-ish, but just different enough that I think it works well.
I think they are stunning and very complimentary to one another !
