I am due with girl #3 in 3 weeks. After struggling with finding names I really liked, I started to love the name [name]Aubrey[/name], only to find out from my ob nurse friend that it is [name]WAY[/name] too popular where I live (at least 6 [name]Aubrey[/name]'s born in the past 4-6 months) and don’t want another “[name]Ava[/name]” which of course I love, but became too popular…
Suggestions Please!! Our last name is Thompson
[name]Amara[/name]
[name]Amari[/name] (nn [name]Mar[/name]-ee)
[name]Andrea[/name]
[name]Aerin[/name] or Aeryn
[name]Astrid[/name]
[name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Alyssa[/name]
[name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Audrey[/name] (rather than [name]Aubrey[/name])
As for ditching the A, to me that would depend on if you plan on having more. If you think you will have more, than I would say if you want to, choose something without the A. If she will be your last, she may always feel different b/c she does not have an A name…
I like [name]Astrid[/name] and [name]Amara[/name] from your “A” list, and [name]Iris[/name] and [name]Piper[/name] from your “other” list. I agree with [name]Danielle[/name] about whether or not to use continue the “A” name thing. I love her suggestions of [name]Arabella[/name] and [name]Audrey[/name] for other “A” names.
With [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Adrianne[/name] ([name]Ari[/name]), I like [name]Astrid[/name], [name]Stella[/name], and [name]Piper[/name]. Some suggestions:
I would stick with an A name, unless you plan on having more kids and not giving them an A name. Out of your names I’m really like [name]Amari[/name]. Its uncommon, but not too out there sounding.
Keep the A, She’ll feel left out and there are so many pretty A names!
Here are my favorite A names that I think sound good with [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Ari[/name].
[name]Aspen[/name]
[name]Alea[/name]/[name]Alia[/name] (A-lee-ah)
[name]Andrea[/name]* on your list
[name]Astrid[/name]* if you pronounce it the traditional was ([name]Ah[/name]-streed) its pretty but Asst-rid isn’t as cute as [name]Ava[/name] and [name]Ari[/name]
[name]Amberly[/name]
[name]Adalyn[/name]/[name]Adeline[/name]
[name]Adelle[/name]/[name]Adella[/name]
If you chose nick names for these names none of them will end up being [name]Ari[/name] or [name]Ava[/name] which is good.
