We are looking for a girl name for [name_u]Baby[/name_u] #2 (not finding out the sex). We have considered:

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f]
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] (too popular?)
[name_f]Leia[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u] (too star wars?)

… I also like [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Aviva[/name_f], and [name_f]Kiera[/name_f] but my husband isn’t crazy about any of these.

Our son’s name is [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u], and we have a three syllable Irish last name starting with Mc.

Open to other suggestions and first/middle combinations as well. Thank you in advance.

If you’re worried about popularity with [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], you could always use [name_f]Mia[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u]. I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_f]Aviva[/name_f] and [name_f]Keira[/name_f] are adorable! [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is cute too.

Interesting to see the votes for [name_f]Leia[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u]. My husband and I both really like the name [name_f]Leia[/name_f] but worry that it is too associated with [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Leia[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think my concerns about constant associations/star wars comments are valid?

[name_f]Mia[/name_f] was our front-runner for awhile but I worry that it is too popular and perhaps even on the downtrend right now. I grew up with a very popular first name, and while we don’t need something really unusual, I dont want there to be three Mias in every class. Also do you think [name_f]Mia[/name_f] seems more like a nickname or is it substantial enough on its own?

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] has kind of jumped to the top of our list recently which is a bit of a surprise since I don’t always go for the vintage-y names. I didn’t see much support for this name. Reasons you love or hate this one?
