I absolutely adore the name [name]Hazel[/name]. It has always been at the top of my list and will most likely be the name I choose for my first daughter. Recently, I’ve been thinking about potential names for [name]Hazel[/name]'s sister. This is just for fun. I’m just a fellow name nerd and would love to hear your suggestions
Here are two names that I’ve recently been swooning over. [name]Do[/name] you think either of them are good contenders for [name]Hazel[/name]'s sister?
[name]Cassia[/name] - Not sure what the correct pronunciation is. [name]CASS[/name]-EE-UH or [name]CASH[/name]-UH? I do prefer the first pronunciation though.
[name]Serena[/name] - I’ve always had a soft spot for this name. [name]Love[/name] the softness of it and meaning.
Also, please include some more of your own personal suggestions. Thanks
I think [name]Cassia[/name] is supposed to be pronounced [name]Casha[/name], but the name is so unusual, it doesn’t matter which pronunciation you use. Personally, I think [name]Casha[/name] and [name]Hazel[/name] sound better together than [name]Cassie[/name]-ah and [name]Hazel[/name].
Another name I like with [name]Hazel[/name] is [name]Fern[/name].
Hmm…
As a fellow name nerd I have to say that I’m not keen on the berry favourite - [name]Hazel[/name] - for me this name constantly reminds me of hazelnuts and doesn’t feel that attractive but I can see the appeal she’s a ‘cool’ retro pick which a very classic edge.
[name]Cassia[/name] - I can totally see the appeal in [name]Cassia[/name], she works with [name]Hazel[/name] as well. [name]Cassia[/name] has a very exotic feel. I also love the nickname [name]Cassie[/name], which would work with [name]Cassia[/name]. But in all honesty I prefer [name]Cosima[/name] which has a similar feel to [name]Cassia[/name] but just feels far prettier and has a more attractive sound. [name]Cosima[/name] & [name]Hazel[/name] sound very pretty together as well.
[name]Serena[/name] - [name]Ah[/name] I’ve really begun to like [name]Serena[/name], she’s has a very sensual poetic stance. I also love how she has a witchy sound. [name]Serena[/name] works with [name]Hazel[/name] but in a ‘cooler older sister way’.
I think either one would be nice with [name]Hazel[/name]! I prefer the [name]Cash[/name]-uh pronunciation of [name]Cassia[/name], but I think either is acceptable. Some other ideas:
