But we don’t agree on our top names (mine is probably [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] his is [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is on both lists and will likely be our compromise if we don’t think of any others)
Nice list! I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. I have never seen the spelling ‘[name_f]Pheobe[/name_f]’… I thought it was a misspelling I do prefer [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], but that’s probably because it’s what I’m used to…
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Pheobe[/name_f] strike me as a bit similar tho, and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is pretty popular right now, at least around me. So I would probably actually choose [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f].
A few ideas: [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. Good luck!
While I like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] a lot, it does have the rhyming ending with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. If that bothers you, then I’d move it to the mn position. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is popular, but I think it goes well with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. I’d probably go with [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] out of these as it has a similar sense and commonality to [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. While I like [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], it seems exotic next to [name_f]Daphne[/name_f].
I agree that [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] seems too popular, but it is a pretty classic solid name, so I’m willing to consider it.
[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] does feel really out there to me too - DH loves it and wants nn [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] if that makes a difference, but I feel like she’ll still have an “out there” name on job apps and school papers and the like.
I do like [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], but our last name sounds like a noun (a food) so adjective names sound a little odd with it.
I also like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f], but last name starts with M and I don’t like how that sounds either (maybe too picky?)
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] feel match-y, but they aren’t really so… I agree it would be a great pick.
But [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] are just so beautiful and perfect together! I love the meanings, as well.
I love the name [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f], it feels quite different from [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], though, and would likely be shortened to [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]. That said, [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] is really gorgeous. [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f]… That could really grow on me. [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] or [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] are two of the most beautiful names I’ve ever seen on nameberry!!
You have 3 wonderful options (oh, I want to mention that [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] doesn’t go well with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], imo, and it’s way too popular now).
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] ARE beautiful together, yet have similar endings as well as a matching ‘ph’ spelling. I have to say, it may jump out as a bit theme-y, as a precaution. The combination [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] & [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] has a practical and yet elegant feel (I also think the ‘ph’ and ‘ch’ sounds work together really well). Whereas combo [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] & [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] has a very outstanding beauty and flow to it.
ALSO, (this is stupid ) I remember reading a very whimsical fairytale series as a kid, starring two young girls named [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] who investigated fairytale crimes. It was very cute. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] since then I have always considered [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f] as the perfect sister names.
I would also like to add (again) that since you stated that your partner likes the adorable nickname “ginny”, [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] delivers on that prospect.
All your names sound lovely with [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], but my pick would be [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] - it is super sweet and feminine, and it just seems to match [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] so well.
[name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] are my favourite G and L names! Absolutely adore them both. I really like [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] too. I’d maybe
go with [name_f]Ginevra[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] because I don’t like the possible nicknames [name_f]Lori[/name_f] and Loz. But that’s just me. I’d love
[name_f]Lorel[/name_f] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f]. Of course you’re not too picky! This is so important.
mmmm, sorry but i don’t like any of these with daphne. phoebe is a cool name, but way too matchy matchy. charlotte is too popular (and a bit plain maybe), lorelai i’m not fond of. ginevra could work, but i’m not sure about daphne and ginny.
how about:
daphne and clio
daphne and juno
daphne and irene
daphne and ariadne
daphne and louisa
daphne and stella
I love [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f]. I also like the suggestions of [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Irene[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
