My last time coming to my favorite name gurus - itās bitter-sweet! My husband and I are excited to be expecting our 4th baby girl, however, finding a name we both love feels next to impossible.
Our three daughters are Eve, Cecily, and Kate. Iām hoping to find something more like Cecilyā¦feminine and fun, but familiar and tame enough that my husband will like. My husband really likes Leah, Natalie, and Paige but those seem dreadfully boring to me. I like Audrey, (maybe too popular) Belle, (husband dislikes) and Florence (are Cecily and Florence together giving too much Italian vibes?) I would be forever grateful if you could suggest any names to add to our list to consider. Thanks you in advance!
Congratulations! How about the name [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]? [name_u]Abby[/name_u] would be a classic nickname and would go well with her sisterās names!
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_u]Florence[/name_u] together donāt seem Italian to me I think [name_u]Florence[/name_u] goes perfectly with the set!
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_u]Florence[/name_u] isnāt too Italian and I think [name_u]Florence[/name_u] is my favorite on your list but I also think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f] go really well. [name_f]Paige[/name_f] and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] work too but Iām leaning more towards a 2+ syllable name for you so that you have an even split between longer and shorter names. I wouldnāt do [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] because repeating the full āleeā ending sound is a bit too rhymey.
[name_f]Anna[/name_f] was my first thought.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_u]Marie[/name_u]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]
[name_f]Laura[/name_f]
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f]
[name_f]Marina[/name_f]
Your daughters have stunningly beautiful names! [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought for another little girl was [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
I adore your idea of [name_u]Florence[/name_u] , and I donāt think itās too Italian with [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] for you guys as well
I think you both have very similar styles . I wonder if there is a name that is hybrid to both give you a little more of what you want ā¦ Iām thinking:
Well, I love [name_u]Florence[/name_u]! The only thing that bothers me is that the first three are relatively short (3-6) letters while [name_u]Florence[/name_u] is eight letters. If that doesnāt bother you, [name_u]Florence[/name_u] sounds perfect!
hmmā¦
what aboutā¦
[name_u]Meredith[/name_u]
Louise/Louisa
[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Maya[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] (if [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is too rhyming maybe Sophia)
[name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Maddie[/name_f]
Huge congratulations! Your girlsā names are phenomenal.
I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] are sweet with them and [name_u]Florence[/name_u] is divineābut does feel a liiitle iffy with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] as a sister. Something with 2+ syllables definitely seems like the way to go in terms of balance! Letās see.
From your options, [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_u]Florence[/name_u] are lovely!
The previous posters have shared some incredible ideas!
[name_f]Adele[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_u]Alba[/name_u], Beatrix/Beatrice, [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_u]Hazel[/name_u], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_f]Leona[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] sound wonderful with your oldest daughtersā names.
I want to suggest [name_f]Audra[/name_f]. I think it is beautiful and special, and has a different ending from the others.

Big congrats on little gal number 4! Here are some suggestions, likely some repeats as havenāt read the others (but count that as double thumbs up). Have aimed for own starting letter and usually own ending as well:
Flora (like Florence but a little peppier like your others)
Frances nn Francy/Franny
Tessa nn Tess
Philippa nn Pippa
Tabitha nn Tibby
Piper
Hazel
Lydia
Louisa nn Lulu
Martha
Noemie
Mara
Romy
Diana
Jemima
Imogen
Bronte
Nora
Thea
Delphine
Helena nn Leni / Lainie or Nell
Mary
Iris
Bridget (though not sure about it right after Kate?)
Lucy (donāt love personally but would suit!)
Daphne
Willa
Bryony
Mabel (you could use Belle as a nn)
Phoebe
Of yours, I like Audrey and Florence (though if worried about the Florence and Sicily thing, maybe Flora a better option? I probably wouldnāt have noticed though). Wouldnāt go for another one syllable name as will leave our Cecily. I donāt think Leah or Natalie with the repeat Lee sound from Cecily - and because I think something a little vintage and cottage-y would be good to draw Cecily closer into the set.
Edit: Beatrice or Helen would also be good. Hard to get Beatrice over line with husbands but similar to Florence and no Italy connection (though this wouldnāt stop me if Florence my fave), and Helen goes so well with the others and gives Leni or Nell etcā¦
