My boyfriend and I have been talking lots more since my last post. We so far really like the name [name_u]Jay[/name_u] for a boy. We are thinking it could be a cool nickname for a little baby [name_u]James[/name_u].
I love it but am stuck for anything that sort of matches the style of a [name_u]Jay[/name_u]/[name_u]James[/name_u]. We originally thought [name_f]Mia[/name_f], fn [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] but my name’s [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and the minute we said the two out loud it sounded very silly.
Ideally the name would not start with a J, E, N, or D because of the other names within the family. Also, I would prefer to have the name not end in an ‘A’ like my own or a “y” or “y” sound like [name_u]Jay[/name_u]. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] even with my picky-ness you guys will have some great ideas!!
So you get an idea of our style we like but don’t love:
I think [name_f]Margot[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] would be great with [name_u]James[/name_u]/[name_u]Jay[/name_u]. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]/[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] would be cute too.
For boys, I like [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_u]Jay[/name_u].
[name_u]James[/name_u] nn [name_u]Jay[/name_u] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] or [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] are very nice together and my favorites from your list. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] nn [name_f]Liz[/name_f] or [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] or [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] nn [name_m]Tom[/name_m] are spot on too. [name_u]Jay[/name_u] and [name_m]Nate[/name_m] or [name_u]Jay[/name_u] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m] are too close so I wouldn’t use these.
We have an [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], that we call [name_f]Lia[/name_f]. I know another [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] who is grown & uses [name_f]Millie[/name_f] as her nn. I think you have a great list also. Our [name_m]Jason[/name_m] also goes by [name_u]Jay[/name_u]
