So I’ve always loved the name [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] but learned that I was pronouncing it wrong I say it seseelee so the first e is short and the I and y are both long e. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think people would get confused if I use and and pronounce it differently? The other names I’m considering instead are ella sloane temperance or [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. what is your opinion go with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] or do a whole different name?
I’m not really sure if how you say [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is that different from how I say it (I’ve found that regional accents can make a big difference in pronunciation) but either way, I think there are other names that “go” with [name_u]Dexter[/name_u] better, if that matters to you. [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] seems a bit more refined and not as spunky as [name_u]Dexter[/name_u]. From your list, I think [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] would work. I love [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]!

re: Ceceelee, I think you set yourself up for hassle when you try to impose a non-traditional pronounciation on your kid’s name. If you like the sound of it, what about [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f]? is that more in line with how you say it?
