[name]Hi[/name] Berries!
I’ve had [name]Eliza[/name] picked as my top name for a while! I’m trying to come up with a name I love just as much that would make a sweet/spunky sister to [name]Eliza[/name]. [name]One[/name] name that has really caught my eye is [name]Elise[/name]. I am aware that both names have a similar meaning and relation to the name [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Does this mean that they are too similar of a name to be sisters? I also like (but not as much as [name]Elise[/name])the name [name]Annelise[/name] mostly bc it has a similar sound as [name]Elise[/name], and the [name]Ann[/name] for my sister. Could I pull off having sisters [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Annelise[/name] if I couldn’t pull off [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Elise[/name]? Any other suggestions? I really like classic sweet or spunky names. [name]Claire[/name] is the MN I have picked out for [name]Eliza[/name], and [name]Louise[/name] will most likely be the MN to the second girl. Any input is appreciated : ) Thanks!
[name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Annelise[/name] is absolutely lovely. Names I think would go with [name]Eliza[/name]: [name]Scarlett[/name], [name]Tallie[/name], [name]Molly[/name], [name]Brooke[/name], [name]Arabella[/name], [name]Anneke[/name], [name]Hannah[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Genevieve[/name].
Thanks for the response! [name]Molly[/name] is a great suggestion : )
[name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Annelise[/name] work, but [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Elise[/name] are two letters off, which is too similar.
I think [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Emily[/name]/[name]Emilie[/name] would work, [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Eloise[/name] could also work if you want a name that is similar to [name]Elise[/name]. Other gorgeous E names are:
[name]Ever[/name]
[name]Ember[/name]
[name]Ella[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Ellery[/name]
[name]Eden[/name]
[name]Era[/name]
[name]Evan[/name] (for a boy or girl)
[name]Essie[/name]
[name]Eva[/name]
[name]Everly[/name]
[name]Hope[/name] this helps!

I thought of [name]Elia[/name], but same thing. Too close. What about [name]Emma[/name] [name]Louise[/name]. I like that [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Emma[/name] are both strong, spirited and beautiful literary heroines!!
Thanks for all of the suggestions, especially the E names! The popularity of [name]Emma[/name]/[name]Emily[/name] and [name]Ella[/name] really turns me off even though they are lovely. I do really like the [name]Eva[/name] suggestion! [name]Eloise[/name] is super spunky too but DH isn’t a fan, maybe I can work on him : ) I’m a little bummed [name]Elise[/name] is thought to be too similar. Keep the suggestions coming, doesn’t have to be strictly E names. Thanks again!
I like [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Annelise[/name] quite a lot. What about [name]Cora[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name]?
I have an [name]Eliza[/name]. I love the name obviously. I liked [name]Elise[/name] also but agree with others that they are too similar. If my second would have been a girl we were deciding between [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Vivienne[/name].
[name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Elise[/name] ARE too close - I don’t like [name]Annelise[/name] that much, but that would be better than [name]Elise[/name] for me. Some other “E” names:
[name]Eleanora[/name]
[name]Emilia[/name]
[name]Enid[/name]
[name]Erica[/name]
[name]Erin[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name]
[name]Evanna[/name]
[name]Eve[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name]
I think [name]Annelise[/name] works with [name]Eliza[/name](which I love btw!). Other names I would do with [name]Eliza[/name]: [name]Annabelle[/name], [name]Frances[/name], [name]Bonnie[/name], [name]Madeline[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name], [name]Annie[/name]. I love these kind of names!!
Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the honesty. [name]Even[/name] though [name]Elise[/name] is too similar, I’m glad some of you think [name]Annelise[/name] could work! I know it isn’t a name that appeals to everyone especially with the many spelling variations. I’ll have to re-think a MN bc [name]Annelise[/name] [name]Louise[/name] might be a little too long and sing-songy. [name]Mae[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] are other MN options. [name]Eva[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], and [name]Rosemary[/name] are my favorite suggestions so far! What opinions do you have one the name [name]Emmeline[/name]? I don’t know anyone with this name but discovered it on this site…not sure how I feel about it but it caught my eye.
I love [name]Anneliese[/name] spelled with the extra e because that is how I’ve always seen it before and I think that it works well with [name]Eliza[/name]. [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Claire[/name] is great, but [name]Anneliese[/name] [name]Louise[/name] doesn’t sound great because of the repeated sounds. [name]Anneliese[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is gorgeous! I also love [name]Eloise[/name], but even [name]Eloise[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] are pretty close. Good luck!
I think [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Anneliese[/name] could work, they are very similar but I think you can pull it of. [name]How[/name] about [name]Annabel[/name]? I like [name]Rosemary[/name] a lot, great suggestion:)
what about
ivy louise and eliza claire
or ava
I love the name [name]Emmaline[/name]. My cousins daughter is a sweet, thoughtful young woman with that name.
