Sister to James

Our son is [name_u]James[/name_u], and we need to figure out a name for his little sister.

[name_f]Joy[/name_f] is a favorite for a first name, but we are having a hard time with middle names.

[name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Marianne[/name_f]
[name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Pauline[/name_f]
[name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f]

These three middle names are family names or family name combinations. But, we are open to other middle names as well.

Other first names on our short list:
[name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]

We are also open to other first name suggestions. Thanks for your thoughts!

[name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Joy[/name_f] are very melodical together  For middles, I like [name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f].

I also think [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f] makes an adorable sibset. [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] sound a little too similar, and [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] just doesn’t have the same feeling as [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Pauline[/name_f] is adorable. I also like [name_f]Norah[/name_f] from your short list.

What about [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]? If you’re going to match first letters, I think varying the syllable count is wise. Good luck.

I’d suggest [name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Marlena[/name_f] as its a combination of all your picks. I like the name [name_f]Norah[/name_f] from your short list. I suggest the names [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] or [name_f]Marina[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Leah[/name_f] best, both on its own and paired with [name_u]James[/name_u].
[name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Leah[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] and [name_u]James[/name_u]
They both share that ‘a’ sound in the middle which is nice.
I’m not sure of your mn options which would pair best… [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] would be fav if [name_f]Joy[/name_f] could be a mn option.

[name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Annemarie[/name_f] is my favourite combination from your list.

I actually like [name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] or [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] best with [name_u]James[/name_u] though
