I have a [name_u]Piper[/name_u]. I loved the name [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] and [name_f]Pippy[/name_f], but do not like the classic versions such as [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f]. So we went with [name_u]Piper[/name_u] and I love the name!
Starting over…I think all my names from before are out of date. My husband is even tired of [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] now, which was our other top choice name when we had [name_u]Piper[/name_u].
Here are names that I have liked, but for whatever reason have gone by the wayside…
[name_f]Callie[/name_f] (too 80’s/90’s)
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f] (my husband says reminds him of Game of Thrones and doesn’t like it)
[name_f]Kessa[/name_f] (don’t like Kes from ST:Voyager)
[name_u]Kenzie[/name_u]/Kensa (knew someone named [name_m]Ken[/name_m] I did not like)
[name_f]Brynn[/name_f] (husband says no way, no how, will never happen)
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] (husband also hates)
[name_f]Hanna[/name_f] (grandmother’s name, I won’t use it, husband likes it, won’t be happening)
[name_f]Paige[/name_f] (love it, seems out of date)
Penelope (too similar to Piper?)
As you can see, I like more contemporary names, but ones that actually feel like they might have a classic tie. I do not like classic names. So, I prefer [name_u]Avery[/name_u] to [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. I prefer [name_u]Piper[/name_u] to [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Pippy[/name_f]. I prefer [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
Also, I do not have a middle name at all. But I have always loved the name [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]. I always felt like I could not use it because it was too 70’s/80’s. I have already used all my name sakes. What do you think of [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] in the middle?
