I have just entered my final trimester with a baby girl, my fourth baby and since this entire pregnancy has been a roller coaster, due to my husband’s passing away in [name_u]November[/name_u] I haven’t had much time or drive to look into names, which is a shame, because I’ve always been such a nerd.
Any suggestions of girl names you think might sound nice with [name_u]Robin[/name_u], [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f] ([name_f]Celine[/name_f] for short), please fire away. My husband suggested [name_f]Iris[/name_f] early on, so I’m thinking of using it as a middle name. We liked our boy names to be grandfatherly and girl names to be more on the grandmotherly/sweet/vintage side… like [name_f]Celia[/name_f] I think.
Thank you. I really like the suggestions of [name_f]Opal[/name_f] and [name_f]Imogene[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] a lot from your footnote thing.
Thank you [name_m]Ziggy[/name_m]. I think it’s great that you suggested [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] and [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], they’ve been favorites of mine for a long time, I will have to give them some more consideration. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is a beautiful name.
I really like the suggestions of [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] (also a favorite) and [name_f]Alice[/name_f], but maybe as a middle name. Thank you.
Sorry that you have to go through that I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is pretty as a first too. I like the suggestions of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Virginia[/name_f].
Sorry about your husband. I hope that I can be of some help
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Sabina[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Euphemia[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] {[name_f]Effie[/name_f]}
Eleta [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Odelia[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_u]Beau[/name_u] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
I like names already suggested -[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] or [name_f]Imogene[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] + [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] perhaps.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] is a beautiful middle. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] names you have already with [name_u]Robin[/name_u], [name_u]Bernie[/name_u] and [name_f]Celia[/name_f].
All the very best to you and your beautiful family.
I’m so sorry for your loss, and that you’ve found yourself in what must be a very difficult situation.
I just wanted to add that I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is a lovely name, and that its meaning seems very appropriate - a rainbow for hope, and for beauty out of darkness.
I think [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is a lovely combination, if you’re considering [name_f]Iris[/name_f] as a first. [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] (as mentioned above) is nice too.
I also wanted to suggest [name_f]Lina[/name_f] (a diminutive of [name_f]Paulina[/name_f]), either as a full name or a nn. I realise [name_f]Lina[/name_f] doesn’t directly reference [name_m]Paul[/name_m], but you’d have the story. I’m not sure it’s completely your style, but it feels closer than [name_f]Pauline[/name_f] or [name_f]Paula[/name_f] (though I don’t mind either of those, especially as meaningful middles).
If you like [name_f]Dot[/name_f] (for [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] or [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]), that could also tie in with [name_m]Paul[/name_m]'s meaning (small).
I hope you find a name that feels right for you.
Best wishes and strength. And congratulations on your baby girl.
