Sisters: Rosamund "Rosie" and Elowen "?"

I posted yesterday about spunky names, to replace [name]Elowen[/name] for baby girl #2. But… after talking to hubby last night, he’s not going to budge. He loves [name]Elowen[/name], and honestly I do too. I love the name in full, and we could call her [name]Elowen[/name] exclusively, but I am a nickname lover! So I’d like some spunky nickname ideas for [name]Elowen[/name]. My favorite right now is [name]Winnie[/name], and I thought maybe even [name]Lilo[/name] could work. I’d like to stay away from the [name]El[/name]- nicknames even though those are probably the most natural. My name is [name]Kelly[/name] and often go by Kel, so [name]Ellie[/name] and [name]Elle[/name] are out. Any more ideas? Thanks so much!

I personally like [name]Winn[/name] or [name]Lola[/name].

[name]Elowen[/name] is one of my most favorite names by the way.

[name]Rosamund[/name] and [name]Elowen[/name] are beautiful (I’m considering adding [name]Rosamund[/name] and [name]Gwendolyn[/name] to my list), and I’m glad you love both names so much! [name]Elsie[/name], [name]Elsa[/name], and Wen are all that I can think of at the moment.

I like both but rosie makes for a much more common name then rosamund! if you must have a nickname then i suggest [name]Rosa[/name].

I agree with the first part (that [name]Rosie[/name] is a bit too blah) but would put in a bid for [name]Romy[/name] as the nickname. It’s more typical for [name]Rosemary[/name], admittedly, but I love it for either [name]Rosemary[/name] or [name]Rosamund[/name].

[name]Romy[/name] and [name]Winnie[/name] would be my first choice of NNs for each.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I still think [name]Winnie[/name] is the front runner for me, but hubby isn’t a huge fan. Our daughter [name]Rosie[/name] is almost 2 yrs, so I think we’re set with her nickname until she decides she’d like to change it. Thanks for the input though. :slight_smile:

[name]Lulu[/name] (a bit more of a stretch, but oh so adorable)

[name]Rosie[/name] and [name]Winnie[/name] are just adorable together! I love [name]Winnie[/name] but never really found a Fn I liked with it [name]Elowen[/name] is just about perfect to get [name]Winnie[/name]! [name]Lola[/name] is also cute and you could get away with lulu which I love! But [name]Winnie[/name] is more instinctive [name]IMO[/name] and just unbelievable sweet and perfect with [name]Rosie[/name]!
