Sisters with nicknames Bella and Della/Ella- Crazy, sweet, complete Nono?

Too similar or the similarity shouldn’t really matter?

It’s a bit much for me

I think as nicknames they could be fine, but I might avoid it. They’re just really close together and it might be a hassle in life. However, if their names were [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] or something, it wouldn’t be as bad of an issue.

I’d avoid it because they would get mistaken to each other often, and it would be confusing at home too.

I think it is to similar and overly rhymes cutesy, like [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_f]Bea[/name_f]

How about [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]? [name_f]Della[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and Eleanorah? [name_f]Bella[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Belinda[/name_f] and [name_f]Daniella[/name_f]? [name_f]Bella[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f]/Della?
[name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] and [name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]? [name_f]Della[/name_f] and [name_f]Bella[/name_f]

My qualifying test for names that sound similar is that if you stand on one end of the house, and someone else (a partner, a friend, whoever you want) yells the names across the house, can you clearly tell which name is being called? Try it a few times with different sentences or saying it with different speeds and tones. If the other person can clearly tell which name is being said in at least most circumstances, then the names are fine. If not, then you’re just opening yourself up to more confusion down the line.

In terms of my personal opinion, I would never use [name_f]Bella[/name_f] and [name_f]Della[/name_f]/Ella for the same sibset as they’re way too close for my own comfort, but if that’s not something that bugs you then obviously it’s ultimately your call

It’s too much for me unfortunately

I probably wouldn’t just bc it would get confusing for me with the nn being so similar, that said it probably wouldn’t deter me from picking full names that might end up with similar nicknames like that ([name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]) I just would use different nicknames like [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Bella[/name_f] and [name_f]Nora[/name_f].

My sister has a nice long full name that she’s never been called by anyone in our family, only her nickname-even though my mom planned to call her the full name.

My other sister and I both have M names that end in the “ee” sound and we were often confused for the other as kids

So I wouldn’t do this, cause you never know if they’ll both wind up going by the nickname…

Bella & [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Bella[/name_f] & [name_f]Della[/name_f] are both wayyyy to similar.

If you plan on calling them by their nicknames most of the time I feel like that would get so confusing. You’d be calling for one and the other one would always come as well. I agree with previous posters that if their full names are very different then it might work. But I think those nicknames are going to be super confusing.

It’s not the biggest deal to me or “unusable” in my mind, but it’s not something I would personally do.

It’s a no from me

It’s a little too similar to me, like [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_u]Sierra[/name_u]
