[name_u]Skye[/name_u] is common in [name_f]Scotland[/name_f]. I think it depends in the middle name. Mayuri [name_u]Sky[/name_u] is one of my finalists.

I don’t particularly like [name_u]Skye[/name_u], I prefer [name_u]Skylar[/name_u].

I like it. I can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work on an adult.

I like the name, though I prefer it spelled [name_u]Sky[/name_u]. I just don’t understand extra letters ;).

I agree with lerenard. I’d prefer to meet a [name_u]Skye[/name_u] over [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]. A friend of mine has a daughter named [name_u]Skylar[/name_u] and she calls her [name_u]Sky[/name_u] 95% of the time… love hearing [name_u]Sky[/name_u] over [name_u]Skylar[/name_u]! lol

[name_f]Love[/name_f] the name [name_u]Skye[/name_u]- but with a DD already called [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] I think that combo would sound like I was a hippie. LOL

I like it but I would only ever use it as a middle name.

I prefer [name_u]Skye[/name_u] in the middle spot. I don’t think I would like to have a common word as my first name. There is a distinction between the spellings. [name_u]Sky[/name_u] is the noun and the atmosphere above the earth. [name_u]Skye[/name_u] is a beautiful Scottish island place name so the “y” spelling is acceptable in this case.

I love [name_u]Skye[/name_u] and I think it would age just fine! Unless you’re using the place name, I do prefer [name_u]Sky[/name_u]. When it comes to word names, I prefer for them to be spelled like the actual word 95% of the time. The [name_u]Skye[/name_u] spelling takes away from the beautiful, magical, nature-y [name_u]Sky[/name_u] in my opinion.
