We’ve decided that if our third is a boy we will be using the name Rowan Joseph but if we have a girl we’re still stuck.
My wife is back in love with Sloane so now we’re trying to decide between Sloane Diana or Clover Diana. Which do you think is best with big siblings Hadley Claire and Beckett Thomas?

i absolutely love both of these!!
i think sloane diana flows the best, and it goes great with hadley & beckett!
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] 100%
Personally, I wouldn’t choose [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]. [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] was often considered the quintessential “Sloane Ranger” and the name [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] is strongly associated with that stereotype for me (and I’m sure others in the UK). If someone used the name [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f], I would assume they named their child after her and were a huge royal fan.

[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is aboslutely lovely
I like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] between the two but [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] sounds better with the sibling names

I’m in the UK and that’s not something I’ve heard about [name_f]Diana[/name_f] if I am honest. I’ll have to Google that one.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is stunning! [name_u]Bright[/name_u] yet elegant and beautiful
I vote [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] but wanted to note
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u] is a name that could go either way. So if you really love it you could use [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] Josie!!
I prefer [name_f]Clover[/name_f] but the flow of [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is way better.
Personally I like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] more with your other kids, and if you plan to have another kid and use [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], they would go so well together
However, I dont like the flow of [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] as much as [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f].
I’ll suggest [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_u]Sloane[/name_u]? [name_u]Or[/name_u] the similar options of [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u].
Both fit well but I prefer [name_f]Clover[/name_f] by a mile. The sounds of [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] have never really appealed to me, plus like @minxtruck I find [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] together to be very “Sloane ranger”. This is probably only a British thing though! Best of luck

I’m definitely in the [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] camp! I think it fits better with her siblings and, though people are right about [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] ranger, I wouldn’t say it’s as well known a term nowadays (I only first encountered it earlier this year and that was in a satirical book from ages ago)
I have just never come around to [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] - objectively I should like it fine but for some reason it really rubs me the wrong way. So of these two I would go for [name_f]Clover[/name_f] (which is really nicely balanced out by Diana) but I really like a PP’s suggestion of using [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] even if the baby is a girl. [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] or [name_u]Rowan[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] would be great!
[name_f]My[/name_f] personal favourite is [name_f]Clover[/name_f] such a spunky vibrant botanical choice.
However I think with your sibling set [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is the winner
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] flows better with the sibset!
Thanks for all the feedback! I think we’re also leaning more towards [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], we really like how short and breezy it is.
We’re not really concerned with the [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Ranger[/name_u] thing, we’ve never heard the association before and I don’t think it will be an issue where were from (Southern US).
As for using [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], for some reason we’re just not wild about it for a girl.
I absolutely love both names but definitely prefer [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] within the sibset
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] without a doubt. Both work fine with the siblings, but [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is a much, much more appealing name. And [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] as a combo is very weird to me. I’m in Australia and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_u]Ranger[/name_u] as a phrase about [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is very well known I would have thought. I really dislike the sounds of [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] too.
Stylistically, I think [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] fits really well with your sibset. But I’m not personally a huge fan of it (I just don’t like the sound, although I could see that changing if I met a little [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] and got used to hearing it!). On the other hand, I love [name_f]Clover[/name_f]. [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] as a combo is just perfection! That gets my vote, but you really can’t go wrong here!
