We are Team [name_u]Green[/name_u] for the second time!
We have found two girl names we both like!
Which of the first names do you prefer?
(would also be open to opinions on the middle name options I have down, but just playing around with some honor name ideas there for now). Is the middle name [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] too repetitive of a sound with an S name?
Big sister’s name is [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] (loo-see-ah)
If you have any other ideas, would love to hear them!
I LOVE [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]!
I feel [name_f]Summer[/name_f] matches slightly better with [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] as they’re both light and airy feeling to me, where as [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] is a little more serious.
[name_f]Summer[/name_f] matches better with [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]. [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] with the S sounds off. I prefer [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] over [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f].
You just suggested something great! Combining my grandmas name [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] with her daughter’s name (my mother) into Dorothia! I know it’s not the common spelling but it sounds the same.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] are both beautiful. You can’t go wrong with either choice. I would choose [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] as the middle name. I am just not a fan of [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f].
With no other context I like Sloane more, but I think with Lucia I prefer Summer.
In order of preference, my top three are Summer Dorothy, Sloane Dorothia, and Summer Dorothia. I do personally prefer the Dorothea spelling (and with the Dorothea spelling those names would my 1 & 2 instead of 2 & 3), but if it is more meaningful to spell it Dorothia it makes sense to go with that spelling.
Going against the grain here but I love Summer Cynthia T0ldness (assuming this is last name) the best! It’s bright, flows so well, and I find Cynthia much spunkier than Dorothy. I also find the move from Summer to Dorothy/Dorothia a little awkward (a bit of a mouthful).
Having said that, Summer Dorothy would be my second choice - I think three syllables works best between Summer and your last name. Dorothia/Dorothea (ie four syllables) works better, I think, with Sloane in first than with Summer in first. (But if honouring both more important than “perfect” flow for a random on internet, go for Dorothia!)
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] Dorothia checks the boxes. I like [name_f]Summer[/name_f] equally with [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] but [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] better with the honor name.
i agree with @TateModern123, it really does help to say 'the adventures of name 1 and name 2, and because of this i vote for sloane dorothy, it’s gorgeous also i would’ve picked it anyway
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] is so distinctive and gorgeous - love the charm of [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] Dorothy!!
If you really want it to match perfectly with [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] however, [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] match better to me (and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] is lovely too)
[name_f]Summer[/name_f] Dorothia! I prefer [name_f]Summer[/name_f] on it’s own and with [name_f]Lucia[/name_f], and I think the family connection is lovely!
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] is lovely!!
I think [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] is cool as a cucumber. A name for anyone, maintaining a sunny feeling as well as a sharp edge that unisex names on girls carry often with such excitement. I love this name!
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] are totally stylistically different, and this, I love them in sisters! They are great together!
