I hope it’s ok to bring the doggy into the main forum
To recap:
[name_u]New[/name_u] sudden adoption of a 2 year old tiny white fluffball with not the happiest past (why we’d like to try to freshen it up, only if she’ll take it)
For reference, we have a gsd named Sh1n33
Current name: [name_u]Sky[/name_u]
Current top options: [name_m]Sly[/name_m] and [name_u]Scout[/name_u]
Current issues: Having to juggle 3 languages
Ideas that didn’t work out:
[name_u]Shy[/name_u] / [name_u]Shai[/name_u] / [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] - too close to Sh1n33
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] - not all agreed
[name_u]Snow[/name_u] - too close to “no”
[name_f]Sugar[/name_f] / [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] - too close to a family member
[name_f]Eisley[/name_f] - too close to her previous family
Sign / [name_m]Cy[/name_m] / [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] / [name_m]Haneul[/name_m] - doesn’t work language-wise
And to all the other wonderful options from the berries and around here, they’re so lovely and fun, I have such a big list of great names now, but for this one we need to stick to sounds as close to “Sky” as possible
I think [name_m]Sly[/name_m] and [name_u]Scout[/name_u] are both great options! (though I’m a little biased because the latter is my own dog’s name ). Both similar enough to [name_u]Sky[/name_u] that I think it could be a reasonable transition for the dog.
