A recent thread got me thinking about "smoosh"names, usually a genre which I dislike with a passion. However, upon trying my hand at coming up with some combinations of my own, I came up with a few ‘nice’ ones: not smooshed, as such, but legitimate elements with different origins joined together, to create a name with a lovely meaning and/or sound. I thought everyone could share their own and I would create a list of useable ones on the first page - feel free to let me know which ones you like/think could work as a first name or middle.

Thanks for the positive response, everyone. I will keep updating them if I think of any more. Has anyone ever tried this themselves? I’d be interested in seeing other “legitimate smooshes”!
I made Gwenelia which I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f]!
This is the kind of name ‘smooshing’ I like and I think loads of yours are great and definitely usable
I like trying to put parts together to make a name with a meaning I like but I’m really not very good at it! (the best I’ve come up with so far is Ardoro - golden gift and it kind of sucks, even the meaning isn’t that great. Or maybe Thoric - perhaps thunderous rich and powerful ruler? Like I said, I’m no good at it)
The only smoosh on my list currently is Evanora which is [name_f]Eva[/name_f] + [name_f]Nora[/name_f], I heard this name in that [name_m]Oz[/name_m] movie with [name_f]Mila[/name_f] Kunis and [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Franco[/name_m], the movie was mediocre, but I liked the name.
@whirligig - Gwenelia is lovely and flowy and feminine. And it could be a longer form for [name_f]Nell[/name_f], a nickname I am liking very much at the moment - thank you!
@potofgold - Thank you, that’s very kind (it took me forever, so don’t worry it just takes practice - the fact that I am entirely too obsessed over names means I spend far too much time on it…) I do like Ardoro and Thoric, they sound like actual names. “[name_u]Golden[/name_u] gift” is a sweet meaning - it’s better than “fragrance of the fortress”, which is a meaning that one of the names I came up with originally had! Thank you again.
@eloralaszlo - I like Evanora, it has a pretty sound. Thank you!
