So confused, still no name for baby due in February

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] friends!

Iv’e posted many times in search for a name for our new baby girl due in [name_f]February[/name_f], and many times thought we had made a decision, but nothing is sticking! Our boy name was set, I don’t know why the girl name is so difficult for us. Looking for some help once again. Feeling super confused. Our other daughter is [name_f]Fay[/name_f].

The names we are currently talking about

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] - My favorite name since I was young. It’s perfect to me in every way, except the popularity really bothers me. I don’t know that I can give her such a common name. I have a unique name and always loved that. My husband and I both love it though and it’s so cute when [name_f]Fay[/name_f] says it.

[name_f]Alayna[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this name and this spelling and meaning. My husband prefers it in the middle if we were to do [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Alayna[/name_f]. It sounds slightly nasally to him, he says. He could come around though to the first spot.

[name_f]Azalea[/name_f] - My husbands favorite, and I find it very beautiful as well. My concern with it is that it’s pronounced differently by different people. I prefer A-zay-lee-uh. Which is pretty long next to [name_f]Fay[/name_f]. Although we could go with Faylana, if you’ve read my other posts about her name change (won’t go into it here). Would be [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and Azley.

[name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] - Was a top choice for a long time, but I’m just not sure that it’s right. It’s also very popular when you add up all the spelling’s of the name, and the Delilahs out there going by [name_f]Lilah[/name_f].

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] - We both really like this name, but it’s a bit heavier than the other options and we just aren’t sure it’s the right energy for this baby.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] - Sometimes I love it and it sounds soft and light, and sometimes it sounds hard to me the way people put the emphasis when they say it. Prefer soft, light sounding names. I love the meaning and I think [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is very cute.

I could really use some advice on the new baby’s name (please nothing on my other daughter’s name change. That’s happening and we have narrowed down options that we are just waiting to decide on after this baby is born and named. She goes by her middle currently and has since she was a baby.). Open to other suggestions as well. I tend to favor light, lyrical names that have a magical sound or nature connection. Some other names that have popped up, if you care to comment on them, are [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], [name_f]Naia[/name_f], [name_f]Leia[/name_f], [name_f]Aleia[/name_f], [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f], [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Luna[/name_f].

Thank you!

You sound like you love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] a lot and it sounds lovely with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]. It’s very pretty and I haven’t actually met many at all. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Alayna[/name_f] is really cute.

[name_f]Lila[/name_f] is also lovely - sweet, simple and pretty - I think it works well with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]

[name_m]Just[/name_m] a quick suggestion - [name_f]Lillia[/name_f] - like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f] but also has a similar flow to [name_f]Alayna[/name_f] and [name_f]Azalea[/name_f]. It is longer than [name_f]Fay[/name_f] but I think they sound nice together

I love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]! I personally don’t think ranking on a popularity scale matters much, as it’s never an accurate reflection of how many other [name_f]Lily[/name_f]'s your daughter will meet in her life. There’s a lot of diversity in names; she may well be the only one in her year at school.
I think [name_f]Lila[/name_f], [name_f]Naia[/name_f], [name_f]Leia[/name_f]/[name_f]Aleia[/name_f] and [name_f]Luna[/name_f] have the same airy quality that [name_f]Lily[/name_f] has.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] sounds a bit heavier I think, but I like the quirky vintage vibe.
I also like the combination of [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Meadow[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] as well but they’re quite long and heavy next to [name_f]Fay[/name_f], I think they’re good middle name material tho!
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is also a really cool name, but a totally different vibe to [name_f]Fay[/name_f] imo.
I’m personally not a fan of [name_f]Alayna[/name_f] (seems like it’d cause a lot of spelling hassle, as it’s an uncommon spelling), [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] or [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] (both feel like a lot to carry).

I think you should go with [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. If you’ve loved it for that long, you should go with it. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] sound wonderful together! And I don’t [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is that popular in the big picture, there are so many girl names that even the popular ones have a chance of never meeting another little [name_f]Lily[/name_f].

I know you said no comments about your older daughters name but just want to say I love the name [name_f]Fay[/name_f].

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] - I love the name [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. I love the sound and everything about the name. Probably just like you. It’s on my own list. However like you I don’t like how popular it is but I won’t let that stop me using it. You should use [name_f]Lily[/name_f] if you have loved for that long.

[name_f]Alayna[/name_f] - I am not crazy about the spelling to be honest. I prefer [name_f]Alana[/name_f].

[name_f]Azalea[/name_f] - I am not a fan of [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] but I can see it’s potential. [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] does sound nice with [name_f]Fay[/name_f].

[name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] - I prefer the [name_f]Lila[/name_f] spelling personally. It’s more simple and I think it won’t be misspelled as much. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is perfect replacement for [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] sound great as sisters.

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] - I like this name enough. I don’t think it’s a good match to [name_f]Fay[/name_f] though. It sounds like you aren’t convinced on [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] either. If that is the case I would scrap from the list.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. It goes great with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]. However I don’t like matching initials for siblings but that may not bother you.

[name_f]Meadow[/name_f] - Not a fan of meadow as a name. It is to wordy for me.

[name_f]Naia[/name_f] - I have never come across the name [name_f]Naia[/name_f] before. I quite like it though.

[name_f]Leia[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Leia[/name_f] but much prefer the spelling [name_f]Leah[/name_f]. [name_f]Leia[/name_f] could be a good match for [name_f]Fay[/name_f] though.

[name_f]Aleia[/name_f] - Looks like a created spelling to me. [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] is lovely though and would be nice with a sister [name_f]Fay[/name_f].

[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] and the meaning. I think it might look to long next to the name [name_f]Fay[/name_f] though. [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] could be spelt [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] as well. [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] is my favourite from your list so far.

[name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] - I think [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] could work. I like it’s the birthstone of [name_f]February[/name_f]. If [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Opal[/name_f] can be names [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] sure can be too.

[name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] - I am not keen on [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] though.

[name_f]Luna[/name_f] - I have long loved [name_f]Luna[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the meaning, moon. It would be lovely name for a sister to [name_f]Fay[/name_f].

Some suggestions for you… [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], [name_f]Laurel[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Estelle[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Viola[/name_f], [name_f]Aria[/name_f], [name_f]Melody[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Calliope[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], Lorea, [name_f]Mavis[/name_f], [name_f]Ariadne[/name_f].

Thank you so much everyone for your feedback. I do love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] very much, and it’s nice to hear this reiteration from all of you that it goes so well with [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and may not feel as popular as I think. I’m still a bit hesitant though. [name_m]Just[/name_m] don’t want her to feel her sister and I have such different names and her’s is so common.

[name_f]Nerea[/name_f], I totally agree with the names you have grouped here with the same airy vibe as [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. They are all lovely to me. We have a last name that is rather strong and starts with an M, and I am noticing that the names beginning with L really balance it out visually and sound wise for me.

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] is very pretty with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]! When I really adore a name, I usually don’t care how popular it is. You will just have to decide how much you love [name_f]Lily[/name_f]! It sounds like you adore her, would you be disappointed if you never used [name_f]Lily[/name_f]? I think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Alayna[/name_f] is nice, especially if it has meaning to you & your husband.

I also think [name_f]Flora[/name_f] & [name_f]Fay[/name_f] is pretty awesome. I’m usually not a big fan of siblings starting with the same letter but sometimes it can be nice! I think of two little fairies ([name_f]Flora[/name_f] was a fairy in Sleeping Beauty)! For some reason I’m thinking it might not the name for you, however. If you don’t love how some people say it - then maybe you should let it go. I know that would really bother me!

[name_f]Naia[/name_f] is another one that stood out to me! What beautiful, unexpected choice. I think it’s short & sweet but has that magical, ethereal quality I think you are going for!

[name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], [name_f]Meadow[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], & [name_f]Luna[/name_f] would also work well, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Azalea[/name_f], [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f], & [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] seem a tad bit long next to [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and that’s why I don’t absolutely adore them with her but I do think they have that soft quality you like. [name_f]Lila[/name_f] & [name_f]Luna[/name_f] seem like good alternatives to [name_f]Lily[/name_f] but both still seem trendy to me, if you love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] more I think you should just go with that. [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] & [name_f]Fay[/name_f] is nice but I, personally, have hard time picturing an adult [name_f]Meadow[/name_f].

Thank you so much for all of this wonderful feedback. And thank you so much on my daughter [name_f]Fay[/name_f]'s name. I just meant please no unsolicited advice about not changing it. Her current middle name is [name_f]Fay[/name_f], that’s what she has always gone by and is what we are changing to her legal first name :).

Really love your suggestions of [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_f]Melody[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and it was my great great grandmothers name, but my husband can not say it for the life of him. It sounds so awkward, so I haven’t really considered it.

[name_f]Lily[/name_f]: wonderful! This seems perfect for your family, if you could overcome the popularity.
[name_f]Alayna[/name_f]: hmm. Would you consider [name_f]Alice[/name_f] as an alternative?
[name_f]Azalea[/name_f]: I would love this as a middle name, but it is a little too bold & quirky in the fn spot for me personally.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]: awesome with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]! You could also think about [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] ([name_f]LIL[/name_f]-a), to help it sound even more like [name_f]Lily[/name_f].
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]: I love it… but maybe not the right choice here? It certainly has a magical, nature vibe to it though! Perhaps one of the other -wen names? [name_f]Arwen[/name_f], [name_f]Anwen[/name_f], Lilwen, Liliwen, [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f], [name_f]Branwen[/name_f], [name_f]Tegwen[/name_f], [name_f]Tanwen[/name_f], [name_f]Olwen[/name_f], [name_f]Nolwen[/name_f], etc.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]: I have a similar on-off relationship with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] (and [name_f]Willa[/name_f], for that matter). It is super cute with [name_f]Fay[/name_f], if you like matching initials.
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] this, especially as a middle name. It is definitely a strong choice, but I think it is beautiful.
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]: I am totally & completely crushing on [name_f]Luna[/name_f] right now! It is quite popular, unfortunately.

[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Ginny[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Tansy[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Lia[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Posy[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Blossom[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Miri[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Clover[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Juni[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Spring[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Leela[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_u]Dove[/name_u]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Edie[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Susan[/name_f] ~ maybe too heavy, but I am really loving Sus and [name_f]Susie[/name_f] here!
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Millie[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Holly[/name_f]
[name_f]Fay[/name_f] & [name_f]Nala[/name_f] or [name_f]Nahla[/name_f]

Good luck

I think you should go with [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. You love it. The days of 5 Jennifers in a class are done. They apparently scarred a generation so badly that we’re hypersensitive about perceived popularity, but your [name_f]Lily[/name_f] might never have another [name_f]Lily[/name_f] in her class. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] sounds lovely. I really like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Alayna[/name_f], though I prefer the [name_f]Elena[/name_f] spelling.

I like [name_f]Azalea[/name_f]. I feel like there’s one obvious, common pronunciation for this name. [name_m]How[/name_m] else would you say it? I always liked the nn Zalie but Azley is adorable too. I don’t think there’s much of a length disparity, especially when nn are used. Azley and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] are sweet together.

I prefer [name_f]Lily[/name_f] to [name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] sounds nice with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]–they share a soft, ethereal quality. But if it doesn’t feel like the name, it probably isn’t.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] may be too matchy for some, but I love it. I don’t think you love it like you like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] though.

[name_f]Leia[/name_f]/[name_f]Aleia[/name_f]/[name_f]Naia[/name_f] share too many sounds with [name_f]Fay[/name_f] for me. [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f] are sweet but don’t feel special enough with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]. I don’t love [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] or [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] as names, though they are pretty words. I really like [name_f]Luna[/name_f] but I think you obviously like other names on your list more.

My only suggestion would be [name_f]Lyra[/name_f].

Good luck and goes with what you love!

I really love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] with [name_f]Fay[/name_f]. It is so pretty, delicate, and elegant, but spunky at the same time, like [name_f]Fay[/name_f]. My favorite alternative is [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], but I prefer [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. In ten years of teaching I have taught one [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and one [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lilly[/name_f].

I actually don’t think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is suuper popular. Yes, familiar, and certainly not unheard of, but not like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], or [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] where every other girl you meet is named it.

If it’s your favorite, I would go with it. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is soo cute and goes really well with [name_f]Fay[/name_f].

Your list of options is GORGEOUS! Your style seems very similar to mine. Here are my thoughts:

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Lily[/name_f], so much so that I named my cat [name_f]Lily[/name_f]! I agree that it’s perfect, and I also agree that its popularity is a bit disappointing. I think it would make a really great middle name so that would eliminate the popularity problem. But I also think there’s absolutely nothing wrong with using a popular name if you love it and always have. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] are darling together.

[name_f]Alayna[/name_f] - So pretty, it sounds like a princess name to me. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Alayna[/name_f] is lovely, although I will say that the 2 "Y"s look a little odd to me next to each other. Still, I really like the sound of it and I think it’d be a very pretty combo choice.

[name_f]Azalea[/name_f] - I absolutely [name_f]ADORE[/name_f] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f]. I think it’s one of the best flower names, and super underused. The one hang-up I have about it is that it’s so much longer than [name_f]Fay[/name_f] sound-wise. [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] are a somewhat surprising pair, but then again, it makes kind of a nice contrast, and thematically they work (it conjures the image of a fairy and flower, which is great for sisters). Regarding pronunciation, I say uh-ZAY-lee-uh, and that’s the only pronunciation I’ve ever really heard used. I personally love Zae/Zay as a nickname for [name_f]Azalea[/name_f].

[name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f] - To be honest I find this one the most boring on your list. I love the sound of it, but it doesn’t have as much personality to me as your other choices. I prefer the [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] spelling.

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] - [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is beautiful with a beautiful meaning. But I think if it’s not the right energy for the baby, you should trust your gut on that. [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] would be very pretty though.

[name_f]Flora[/name_f] - I completely get what you mean about it sometimes feeling soft and light, and other times feeling hard depending on how different people say it. I really like [name_f]Flora[/name_f], but it doesn’t feel right with [name_f]Fay[/name_f] to me. I think I just don’t like the repeating “F” beginning and “A” ending sounds.

My favorites in order of preference are: [name_f]Lily[/name_f]; [name_f]Azalea[/name_f]; [name_f]Alayna[/name_f]; [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]; [name_f]Flora[/name_f]; [name_f]Lila[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilah[/name_f].

From your other list of maybes, I love [name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Naia[/name_f], and [name_f]Aleia[/name_f], though I could see potential pronunciation issues with [name_f]Aleia[/name_f] (not a deal breaker of course). [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] and [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] work best as middle names in my opinion, and I personally love [name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] as a middle name. [name_f]Leia[/name_f] has a bit too strong of a [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars connection for me, and I’m “eh” on [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Arabelle[/name_f].

Anyway, you have some great contenders here. Good luck! Let us know what you decide :).

You’ve gotten so much detailed, helpful feedback, I won’t echo it all.

I think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is perfect with [name_f]Fay[/name_f], and you could give her a unique middle if that makes you feel better. I used to work as both a teacher and then in admin in a preschool/elementary school in [name_m]Boston[/name_m], and we had a handful of Fayes come through during my 10 years there. We had about as many Lilys. My two older daughters (I have another due in early [name_f]May[/name_f]) are in preschool and many activities around our town in the seacoast area of NH, and I have not encountered one [name_f]Lily[/name_f] in 3 years. So, it might help to scour the SSA site if you really want to figure out numbers of popularity where you are.

The one name that may be an add to your list (or not bc of the M) that I’m loving is [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. You could call her [name_f]Nola[/name_f] or [name_f]Nolia[/name_f].
Good luck!

I think the following -

  • Put [name_f]Lily[/name_f] in the middle. You clearly are upset about popularity and if you are now it won’t get any better.
  • [name_f]Flora[/name_f] and [name_f]Fay[/name_f] are too cutesy together I would scratch it.
  • [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] is still not overly popular and all spelling are out of the top 100. It’s not like [name_f]Lily[/name_f]/[name_f]Lili[/name_f]/[name_f]Lillie[/name_f]/[name_f]Lilly[/name_f].
  • [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] and [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] are a little heavy but are nice names.
  • [name_f]Alayna[/name_f] is confusing to me as I am unsure about pronounciation.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about -

  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f] (still less popular then [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and I don’t think will ever get to the top 20)
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Lula[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and Stellamarie (a little catholic and a little bit edgy over traditional [name_f]Stella[/name_f])
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Estella[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Fay[/name_f] and [name_f]Molly[/name_f]
  • Fay and Liliana
  • Fay and Dorothy
  • Fay and Mabel

Have you considered a rarer formal name with the nn [name_f]Lily[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f]? [name_f]Lileas[/name_f], [name_f]Kelila[/name_f], [name_f]Jalila[/name_f], and [name_f]Liliya[/name_f] could all theoretically lead to [name_f]Lily[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f], but aren’t quite so common.

Wow, so many thoughtful, detailed responses. I’m truly grateful for everyones opinions, suggestions and the time you took to respond. I wish I had the time to write each one of you back! But I have really gone over everyone’s posts and really have taken it all into consideration. I’m feeling better about possibly going with [name_f]Lily[/name_f]. It has stood the test of time with me, and that’s not always easy to do with a name. Most names I really like have faded over time, but [name_f]Lily[/name_f] has endured as a magical, faery like, elegant, beauty for me. There was so much wonderful feedback, that it has really helped narrow down to a couple others as well, and I have ruled out a few too based on the advise that resonated. Thank you, thank you everyone!!

Thank you [name_f]Erin[/name_f]! [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]? Is it Lie-ra? Leer-ah? Or [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-ra?

You’re very welcome, and I’m so glad we could help! I think you’re totally right about Lily being the right choice because it stood the test of time for you, which is really the most important thing. I agree that it’s a magical name!

Also, regarding the above post, I was actually going to suggest Lyra for you as well. For the record I like the LIE-ruh pronunciation the best and it’s the one I’ve heard the most, but I know some people say LEER-uh (I think because of “lyric”). Both ways are technically correct but I think there’s a lot of magic in the lie-ruh sound and it’s the most intuitive pronunciation in my opinion, because of names like Tyra, Myra, and Kyra all being usually pronounced that way (though there are exceptions). Lyra is cool also because of the astronomy/mythological connection. But I think I still prefer Lily for you :).

Thank you so much for the clarification! [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] is lovely.
